> Very disappointed. Spent over $50k on 5 pivot doors shipped to our luxury ranch home in Wyoming. One of the doors glass panels cracked due to differences in altitude between origin and our location (c 6,000 feet). 2 area glass suppliers stated that they have seen the problem before when glass is shipped without tubes or heat tempering process was not done well. Glenview has refused to replace and wants to charge an additional $2500 for replacement panels. Not what one expects from a high end vendor.

> We've gone through a total showroom renovation and added a Glenview Modern Euro Entry Door into our office area. It complimented our new design and great focal point for customers as they are greeted at the front desk.
> This Modern Euro Entry Door boasts a superb stability and insulation, 2-3/4" thick slab and stainless steel inlay with Cathedral glass.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Love the door, is this a Glenview Wood Door? How much did it cost?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Hi Dan,
It very much is! For pricing please feel free to message us or call so we can find a dealer near you.

**Q: Exterior door handles** *(in Design Dilemma)*

We are building a craftsman house with a plaza entry ("L shaped driveway)..I was planning on Black or ORB front door handle, & wall sconces and carriage type garage doors..
I assume the entry door into garage should match being they are all seen from the front? However is it ok to do silver handles on all doors on the back which, lead to the porch areas or should they match? Which leads to my next delima--can all the outside doors have black handles (even though all the back doors will be seen from the main living area) is it then ok to have silver on the remaining interior doors? Can you buy handles that are black on one side & silver on the other?

A: Emtek and Baldwin are the two to start with. Best regards.

**Q: door knob help** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Just had bathroom remodeled with a retro look. My existing knobs in house are round brass handles with a rosette. The bathroom sink cabinet has small oval crystal knobs. I want to replace the door knob with an oval crystal knob. Do both sides of the door have to have the same knob? Can I leave the existing brass knob on the outside of the door and have the oval crystal knob on the inside of the door so that when the door is closed all the knobs in the bathroom are the same style? And it needs to lock.

A: We believe hardware inside of door and outside of door don't need to match in style to work properly. You might need the same rosette, but the knobs can most likely be different. Best of luck on your project.

**Q: Different colors for windows and doors???** *(in Design Dilemma)*

So we are in the process of building a home, it is a Mediterranean/Italian/French style (so it a european country I guess) with rough cut limestone stone over-grouted, cream/yellow stucco walls, terracotta roof tiles and some wood trellises and corbels under roof. The front door is an antique striped wood with rusted iron insert and so is completely different than the doors and windows. So we are having aluminum clad wood windows and french doors and initially we were going to do Sage Green trim for the cladding for both doors and windows and with matching color shutters on some of the windows. But we are thinking this could be too much green. So now we are thinking of doing the windows in a medium brown (matching the wood trellis and corbels) and with the green shutters and keeping the doors green (we have A LOT of french doors so it would be noticeable). I haven't really seen this "design" before except maybe having the front door the one color and matching the shutters to that but as I said the front door is already completely different. I do not want brown windows and doors
So my question really is "Would this look dumb?". I like the idea since it's picking up the wood color but is this too busy and way too much going on?

**Q: Help: Please identify this door handle, style, or where I can purchase** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Does anyone recognize this door handle style, or where I may be able to purchase one like it online? I appreciate the feedback!

A: This is by brand called OMNIA. The model number is 233 / 00. If you google Omnia 233 00, you will see that hardware set. Best of luck on your project!

**Q: Need to pick a proper garage door color, help!** *(in Design Dilemma)*

OK...I have to make a decision on a 3-car garage door color. My house is not finished, yet, but I attached a pic (note the dumpster is covering a single car garage door...but there won't be stone on that part of house). Please note the gray in the picture is going to be painted Boothbay Blue by the time I move in. Thus, I have Boothbay Blue and an off-white trim, but the wild card is the stone (which will be going on the unfinished areas in the picture). It's a very light stone. My front door is going to be a cherry wood. The second picture I posted is of another house that also is boothbay blue and has the exact same stone so you can get an idea. The garage doors will be carriage-style doors with 6-pane windows at the top (regardless of what finish I pick).
I feel I have 4 options. White....almond (which is closest to the stone color)...blue to match the house.....or a cherry/mahogany faux wood. I know people think white is boring but it would match the trim. The almond would be closest to the stone. The blue would match the house....but I don't know, blue garage doors? Anyone ever seen that actually look good? Finally...wood....to match my front door. However, my fear with wood is this would be a big contrast to the light stone color....so some might think this is an eyesore, too. I know people say garage doors should not be the focal point of a house. However, wood ones always look so nice...especially if the wood is broken up with windows. Thoughts?

A: There are few options, but ultimately it is what you like. We are attaching few images of some options, hope it will give you an idea. Best of luck on your project, and please post the final result.
