Natasha and Dwight and their staff are knowledgeable and thorough. They educated us about countertop materials because they want to ensure you're getting best product for your needs and that there are no surprises. They updated us on delivery times etc and never did I feel like I was imposing when we called to make product or timeline changes. The installers, Dwight and Rafi, are perfectionists. We had a small space with lots of angles which complicated the back splash install but they took their time and made sure it was done to their highest standards even though it meant working late on a Saturday evening. Want something lighter colored that looks modern farmhouse style. Any ideas, pics would be great! A: Hi there, Your wood cabinets are beautiful and I wouldn't paint them but rather brighten up the countertops to feel more spacious. Silestone's Lusso Quartz would look beautiful pulling the warmth from the cabinetry but still falling under a white tone. I would suggest having a look at this color next time you are able to. **Q: Where to end kitchen back splash?** *(in Design Dilemma)* We are in the process of remodeling our kitchen counter tops and back splash. The attached picture is what it currently looks like, but a few things will change - \- We will not have a 4 inch back splash \- We will not have a raised bar behind the sink - that will be flattened Would you stop the back splash at the upper cabinets or continue through until the end of the wall? A: Hello Anhanania, I also agree with the Astonia Stone Artisans and would carry the 18" backsplash all the way to the wall. If you are planning to use a solid surface such as quartz or porcelain countertops, why not also carry the same material up the backwall as a splash for a simple and modern look. It is becoming more popular where we are located. **Q: IS SUPER WHITE, granite, quartzite or marble?** *(in Design Dilemma)* I am very confused to what "SUPER WHITE" is.. I was told it is quartzite and is as durable as granite....but now some else has mentioned quartzite is not, it is more like marble and not recommended for kitchen counter???? I am confused?? Any answers?? A: Thank you for the very informative explanation Beth. As our multiple suppliers all label it as a quartzite; I would normally trust their judgement - as they are the ones who source the blocks, cut them into bundles and finish the surface of each slab but they may not be doing the research you have done on this type of rock.
