> My husband and I used Sheila to help us freshen up our 100-year-old house. This was the first time we'd worked with someone who I'd normally think of as an "interior decorator", but Sheila was so much more! While she has her eye on the trends and keeps things fresh and relevant, she particularly appreciates old homes and does a great job balancing what's current with what will look good in an older home.

> At our first meeting she spent a few hours asking us questions and getting a sense of our style and where we wanted to go with the interiors. At our second meeting she presented a portfolio of ideas that included options for specific pieces of furniture, fabrics, colors and a few changes to our wall and fireplace designs. She presented things that I would not have come up with myself but that were in keeping with our style. We loved the options she offered.

> One of the things that surprised me most was her versatility. Not only is she skilled at helping you choose colors, fabrics and furniture styles, but she has the training and skills to do design work. She created CAD drawings to add built-ins around our fireplace and had the perfect contractor to do the work.

> Speaking of contractors, Sheila has a team of contractors she works with who she trusts. This is a huge plus. Our built-in job was a small one. Left to our own devices it would have taken a long time for us to not only find the right contractor, but to get onto his/her schedule for such a small job. Sheila talked to a skilled wood-working contractor who works on lots of projects for her, both large and small, and had him slot our small job in between two of his larger ones.
