> Nobody picks up the phone for support. The automated message directed me to call the installer. I find this unacceptable. I am so disappointed that I purchased this unit. I will be doing the rounds providing my feedback on the various platforms.

> New install yesterday. The unit's appearance is good.. Th blower however is disappointing. It's very noisy, to point where we hesitate to use that feature.

> Stay away from this company. Our unit has been down more than working. Poor quality and workmanship. And they will say reach out to our customer service which is useless. They send an email with no response. Luckily our dealer is an honorable dealership and they have tried to fix this lemon from day one but when you're dealing with poor quality it is nearly impossible. Basically we have a large useless paperweight within our fireplace. Would never recommend them

> I like the stove as it heats up the whole area fast, but the thermostat does not lower the flame when it gets hot. The switch does not seem to work in the center position for the hand held thermostat. I could not get the fan to work for a few days. Now the fan works, but flame does not decrease when up to temperature and if I turn the transmitter off, the stove still runs without the fan. We may need another receiver switch or a new remote control.

> We had a Regency Cascades I1500 wood insert installed in January 2025. Overall the insert burns well. But I find the blower noise rather annoying. I do not relish having to live with this noise every time we use the insert. It seems that the design to put the blower in front of the stove makes the blower noise very apparent to people in the room. We had an old Vermont castings stove with an internal blower that was much quieter than the I1500. This is a serious problem for anyone who is bothered by a noisy blower. Our vacuum cleaner makes less noise than this blower.

> We bought a Regency Alterra Pro fireplace insert.
> pros
> It is pretty easy to start a fire and have it heat up quickly.
> It is very attractive with a large window.
> cons
> The bypass damper is not working fully today as it gets blocked after closing about 3/4 of the way even though I have only had the unit for 3 weeks.
> The blower is not near as effective as the blower I had on our 15 year old Buck 91. The Buck 91 pushed the hot air much further and more forcefully.
> Documentation claimed a fire could burn for 20 hours in this Regency unit. When I burned it slowest I got 8 hours which is fine, but the creosote buildup completely stuck on the glass on the door so I couldn't see the fire. The air stream doesn't work on a long burn.
> A hot burn in the Regency holds much less wood than the Buck 91 so it tends to burn out in 3 hours while I could get 6 hours with the Buck 91.

> Had my wood burning fireplace insert installed a couple of weeks ago. It has performed perfectly! The Chimney Guys did a fantastic job installing it.

**★ — Stephen Parkinson, Dec. 2024**

> The fireplace doesn’t have the the correct venting for installation. Had to wait a month for it to arrive. Then the remote control broke and it took 4 months for a replacement. Also was not informed that this unit does NOT have a manual start, so no fires over the Christmas and winter. Also the ignition gets dirty quickly and needs to be cleaned. Anyway, very happy with the look of the unit but it has serious working issues.

> My dad and I bought a Regency GF40 pellet stove June 2022 because we live in Wasilla, AK, we are both older and wanted the most efficient, easiest and most economical stove for our needs. This stove had 1 of the best ratings so this is what we went with.
> It works great when it works. It heats our house in a timely fashion and once you get the pellet feeder figured out, it is fuel efficient.
> But... so far my dad has had to replace the circuit board twice, I have had to replace it once. We have both had to replace the igniter, fuses have gone out, the burn pots have already cracked and the door seal had had to be replaced on both. And this is all in only 2 years.
> I would love to go a season without having to have something fixed and be able to use it the entire time without having to wait for something to be fixed.
> Also, make sure whoever you buy it from, will always have someone that can fix it.

> I converted my fireplace from propane gas to electric. Everyone I spoke to at Magic Mountain was friendly, helpful & very professional. They worked with me to provide the fireplace solutions that I always desired. I love my new fireplace and thank everyone at Magic Mountain for all their help. I would recommend them to anyone who is interested in a fireplace.

> We ordered the regency u39 with pedestal and chimney kit, also had to get propane conversion kit. Installation was pretty straightforward . Will have to wait until colder weather to really give a good review.

**★★★ — James Dexter, April 2024**

> Purchased a Regency Stove and been happy with the overall performance however, the Dealer for these stoves is a complete ass that turned out to be very deceptive. It took him 7 trips to our house to finish installation which still has not been completed to our satisfaction since leaks smoke because of poor piping in the house and water when it rains because he is too stupid realize that water will find a way through holes & gaps in the mortar. According to Customer Support, he sold us a stove that was already 5 years old and were of course charged for a brand new unit. He promised insulated pipe, (at the cost of $1,200.00 extra), all the way up and 6 feet above the chimney but DID NOT install the insulated until I called him on it, (still not sure if it is in the chimney). This prick also hit on my wife, in front of his own children nevertheless What a piece of work! American Stove Works - Eureka CA.
> I asked Customer Support about warranty information because it was a 5 year old stove and if this was normal business practice of selling old stoves when the customer is told that they are new and they stopped communications.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Any contemporary wood stoves I should consider beside blaze king?** *(in Fireplaces)*

Just built my own 2700 sqft house. i've got a great room thats lets say 38'x24' with a high (15' sloped celing with ceiling fans).
my primary heat source is heated floors but i have plans showing a wood stove because, well, they're awesome. so i'm looking for ambience and of course the warmth is always nice in the mornings or raining nights.
originally i was set on chinook 30.1 but i'm thinking that bigger isn't necessaryily better anymore. They must have just come out with the boxer 24 which i love the looks of and is $1k less ($2600 vs 3600). I'm also considering the chinook 20.2 but the stupid salesmen couldn't give me a price.
is there anything else to consider? 6" chimney flue is in

A: Could you kindly send me an email? I would just need to find out where you are located etc. sperreault@regency-fire.com
