A: 3cm Brentonbrook Soapstone.  Perfectly acceptable as a kitchen counter top material that is highly impervious to staining, but can be susceptible to scratches as a softer material.

A: This is actually a Neolith Black Basalt Slab with channels fabricated into the surface.
