A: Catia, questions about paint & wallpaper are best worked out with your interior designer. My expertise is soundproofing, acoustics and integrating hvac, electrical and plumbing. For my projects, I will review the finishes your designer comes up with, to make sure they are in harmony with the acoustical goals. **Q: what kind of tile is on the floor** *(in Photo Questions)* A: The kitchen floor is made of square ceramic tiles that were cut in half to match the herringbone pattern of the family room rug on the adjacent wood floor. **Q: Is it worth the cost to install solid core doors in a house?** *(in Design Dilemma)* I am debating if it is worth the cost to install Saddlebrook Solid Core doors in the entire house (with exception of the closet bi pass areas) rather than the standard hollow door. They decrease the amount of sound by 50% and feel heavier. Is it worth it? A: The best way to soundproof a door.
