Design and construction of single family homes at the shore.

I knew from a young age that I wanted to design and build. In my teens I was already looking at the world through the eyes of an architect. After all, had been on my father’s construction job sites since I was six. My father Pinchus Kiejdan was a builder who knew how to get the job done. I watched with fascination, stockpiling that knowledge for when he’d need it later. From my father, I got the love of building. He showed me how to make it happen. I watched him do a lot of problem solving to bring in projects on time and within budget.

Since the family business was construction, it was only natural for me to work there as I pursued his degree in architecture from Temple University. I was out in the field a lot, doing residential and construction work. I was talking to some clients who were saying that they couldn’t find anyone to build their homes within a certain budget. So I said, I’d do it.

Today, I am is known for creating homes that are as distinct as his clientele. All of my homes are different because they’re a reflection of the client’s personality.

I’m often accused of finding the view that no one else sees, views are important to me, both external and internal. I bring my distinct artistic touch to every home. My clients trust me. I’ll sometimes tell them, I made a change, but you’ll love it. And they do.

> Roberts attention to detail is incredible. The fact that he is an architect as well as a builder is extremely helpful and insightful when we were building our home. But I would say his greatest attribute is his willingness to work with us along the way in adapting the plans. I would highly recommend him to anyone building or retrofitting a home.

> We hired Robert to build a new home for us in Margate. He listened to our list of needs and was flexible in making design changes. He pays close attention to all details and takes extreme pride in his work. The subs that he uses are top notch. I recommend him highly.

> My wife and I had the pleasure of working with Robert on the construction of our vacation home in Margate, NJ. We simply cannot say enough good things about his work and give him our highest recommendation. The project had some challenges (an unusual lot size and shape, zoning issues, special engineering requirements, and a tight budget) but Robert delivered a beautiful, spacious home, well-crafted, with excellent finishings, and delivered the project on time and on budget. Robert was responsible for the entire project, including architectural design, engineering, construction and sourcing all the finishings. We had worked with him previously so we had good reason to trust his judgment (and good taste) in all respects. Even his subcontractors and suppliers spoke highly of his work and head and shoulders above others in the area.
>
> Details about the project: 5-bedroom, 4-bath, 3-story home in an "upside-down" style (with the living area on the top floor) to maximize light and air in the main living and dining rooms. The home was built on a long, narrow lot, so friends are amazed when they step in side and see how open and airy it feels. The design and construction allow us to keep the home cool with natural air flow, even through most of the summer, though it has an excellent dual-zone A/C system as well.

> We hired Robert to design and build our new home. He listened to all of our requirements and incorporated them along with his own ideas.
> The project included demolishing our old house and preparing the property for the new structure.
> Robert was extremely easy to work with. He is a hands on developer who works as if it is his own home. He takes extreme pride in the quality and workmanship of his projects.
> Needless to say, we are extremely happy with the finished project.
> We HIGHLY recommend Robert Kiejan as an architect and builder.

> Talented, professional and easy to work with. Hired Mr. Kiejdan to design and build large addition to my home. After speaking with several other Builder / Architects Robert stood far above everyone else. The addition was completed in a timely fashion. Suggestions were made throughout the project which improved the expected result and were cost effective.

> Followed up after completion. A pleasure to know and to work with. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quality project with the assurance of your desired result without headaches.

> Our 100 year old house was renovated and rebuilt to look like an original house of that era.We are completely happy with the service, knowledge and the materials that were used. The builder is very likable and also an experienced architect so changes to your liking can be made throughout the project No corners were cut by the company.I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a new or remodeled home Oh yes... We were in by the beginning of the summer as promised!

> My wife and I bought a house in margate In a great location but in need of a renovation . We interviewed and met with the local cast. But we never "clicked" with anyone. One day we went to see one of Robert's open houses to get some ideas. Well we clicked. Robert is the triple threat of architect, builder, and designer. He took our suggestions but told us what we needed to do for our renovation. He reconstructed the deck, added a 2nd story deck off the bedroom, and did a first floor restoration. Robert spent a lot of time on making sure that the final product "worked"-from the flow of the house to where to hang the tv to suggestions on which dining room table to purchase.
> I would highly recommend Roberta for your next project (big or small).

**Q: These questions were asked before but were not answered. Is it sound proofed in the sheet rock wall?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Is it sound proofed in the sheet rock wall? Also, are there requirments on how tight or not tight the area around the appliances can be?
Thanks for your help.

A: No sound proofing. Clearances and ventilation requirements are determined by manufacture of washer & dryer.

**Q: Which fire-surround would be best** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I need help deciding on the fire-surround, the Colour pallet of my home is based on the stone work, internal and external. The room is my formal lounge, I rather like curls and swirls but do not want it to be over the top.

A: To much ordornimintation get rid of the dental detail molding and use a simple crown molding with the stone surround. The dental detail it's to busy and clashes with rustication of the stone work.. Your use of neoclassical details is clashing with prairie style stone work. Just keep it simple.

**Q: Dimensions and number of bedrooms?** *(in Photo Questions)*

What are the width and depth of this home? How many beds and baths? Beautiful!

A: 28 x 40 4br 3 baths
