A: Cabinets are Benjamin Moore OC-64 pure white, and the wall is ICI ( Glidden) A1850 Pillar **Q: Help! - Orangey Exposed Beams and Woodwork** *(in Design Dilemma)* We are in the process of purchasing a new home, and the style is something we are not used to. It was built in 1983 and feels like it is stuck in a time capsule. I would like to find a way to modernize the space and make it feel comfortable. I absolutely hate the orangey wood work and the fire place is in definite need of a makeover! The tile on the fireplace wraps around the wall and into a "mudroom" as well as covers the entire kitchen floor. Does anyone have any ideas? We will be starting with a blank slate! (The furniture is not ours - these are the listing photos). Thank you!!! A: Get rid of the carpet....add wood flooring. I agree with previous comments, either paint the beams a darker color or white! Reface the fireplace...replace the tiles with a more contemporary rectangular shape tile.
