Cabinets drawers had missing screws. The first inspector said they mounted the attic ladder backwards; when we followed up the inspector changed and said it was “per plan” ( seems like he didn’t wanted to change it) now the ladder opens towards water softener system. Home had significant roof leaks. When you create a work order they don’t finish the job. You have to keep creating work orders so that they come back and finish what they started. I have personally called to follow up and I’m just told “we’ll call you” and they never do. When we met with the builder, I asked where will the A/C be located, he said he didn't know. Then he found a blue print indicates the A/C is outside of the garage, I am satisfied with A/C location, then he said he still can't guarantee where the A/C will be..... > I said as long as A/C is not very close to the window, I am fine. Then we started to argue the definition of very close..... > We decided to withdraw the building process. > The office refund us the EM and fees. They have not repaired the leaks. Doors installed and not shimmed. I have a puddle every time it rains from on door leak. Flooring installed poorly. Full of gaps between planks. Wobbly banister. Prewired for security yet several window sensors do not work. I'm pretty sure my master bedroom closet is not insulated properly. The warranty rep for Stylecraft said it meets minimum standards and it's good enough even though it's obvious the doors leak were not installed properly and one is visibly out of square. I would say there was some small hicups when buying home but they were very quick in making us happy. They were very proffesional, respectful and concerned in our needs. It is now 2014 and we are so pleased with our purchase. At one point couple years ago we had a slight issue in our bedroom and Stylecraft Builder were there to correct it. I would say keeping maintenance is a key to any home and if done right, you'll surely enjoy it in the years to come.
