Born to missionary parents in Zaire, Africa, Chris developed a passion for photography at an early age. By 10th grade, he was winning photography awards. He continued to study the craft in college, receiving his photography degree from the New York Institute of Photography.

In 1994, Chris and Cami were pursuing separate photographic careers when a chance encounter brought them together. At the time, Chris was the Sales Manager for Click Camera’s location in Huber Heights, OH. Cami, an accredited photographer from the Ohio Institute of Photography, was the Lab Manager for the company’s location in Dayton, OH. When Chris’ lab tech had to leave work one day due to an emergency, Cami volunteered to cover the void. What began as a professional courtesy soon turned into…well…as they say, the rest is history!

Chris & Cami moved to Charleston in '94 and now run a successful studio in this historic seaside town, covering a wide variety of subjects, including high-end Interior/Architecture for companies like Holiday Inn, The Hyatt, Naman Hotels, Bolongo Bay Resort, Solaris, Cabinet Concepts, Sandra Ericksen Design, & Signature Kitchens & Baths.

They have photographed politicians like former president George Bush and Senator John Kerry, celebrities like the B-52s and Steve Harvey, Gold Medalists like Pete Sampras and Misty May-Treanor, Superstars like Maria Sharapova and Serena Williams, and business leaders like the CEO of GE and the president of Crayon.

Their work has been featured in publications like Charleston Home, Charleston Magazine, Family Circle Magazine, Sports Illustrated, Better Homes & Gardens, and Tennis Magazine.

Chris & Cami love to travel and have photographed destination weddings, wildlife, and travel photos around the globe in places like Central America, The Caribbean, Europe, Australia, and Africa. Not only is Chris a passionate photographer, but he imbues that passion to attendees of his Workshops and Private Mentor Sessions. His popular Lightbending411 Workshops in destinations like Denver, Greenville, and Portland are routinely sold out. And his Private Mentor Sessions, designed for photographers looking to take their artistry to the next level, have been enjoyed by professionals from around the country. Chris & Cami also team up to lead Global Photo Adventures to exotic locations like St. Thomas, Costa Rica, Romania, and Tanzania.

**★★★★★ — User, April 2016**

> Chris has been my photographer for 8 years. He captures my interior design projects beautifully, seeing my work through his artistic eye, yet staying true to my vision for a room. Somehow, he creates images that reflect the graciousness I strive to achieve in every room I design. He also understands the marketing needs with room photography, and I always come away with dozens of usable images for my portfolio. He's positive, professional, and a pure joy to know! I highly recommend Chris!

**★★★★★ — new2sc, July 2014**

> After moving from NY to SC in February, I spent four months of concentrated work both interior and exterior to create my idea of a retirement oasis. Many friends and family from back home were asking for photos of my completed effort, and after trying with my iPhone, it just could not do it justice. So I contacted Chris and Cami and was delighted with both the results and reasonable cost. My iPhone and I could not replicate their professional perspective and the use of all kinds of equipment including wide angle lenses, light shadowing umbrellas, tripods and other contraptions to get the best shot. The result is jaw-dropping photos that elicited "Absolutely GORGEOUS" from the folks back home. Like having a good Dr., it is comforting to know that Chris and Cami will be there for my future photo needs.

**Comment from Chris & Cami Photography:**

> WOW!!! Thank you for the kind review. It was such an honor and a pleasure photographing your new home! Welcome to South Carolina!!! :-)

**★★★★★ — Solaris Inc., March 2013**

> Chris has been doing our architectural photo shoots for about five years now and we at Solaris could not be more pleased. Chris's artful eye and keen photography skills present our homes in the perfect light. He is a true professional; always certain that scheduling details are arranged, checking in prior to the shoot and arriving early and ready to go. His images are the result of a true collaborative effort; he listens well and has great interest in his clients' point of view in order to fully capture their perspective. Digital images arrive within days and always surpass our expectations. We highly endorse Chris and Cami photography.

**★★★★★ — Pat Broghamer Designs, March 2013**

> Chris and Cami Photography is amazing. I have hired them to take photo's of my listing downtown Charleston and the condo sold quickly and everyone remarked about how well the photo's came out and showed the attributes of the property. We also hired Chris and Cami to take photo's of my daughter's wedding here in Charleston 6/6/2006. Everyone at the wedding enjoyed the "photographers". They would ask if the photographers were friends of the family, as they were so relaxed and interacted so well with the guests. My daughter requested that they take photos of each couple and or family so the guest would have a nice remembrance. The guests were delighted and surprised
> to have their family photo's taken while all dressed up. It was a very special day and we will never forget the nice touches that Chris and Cami provided to the Bride and Groom and our family and friends. Our photo's were up on the website in less than 10 days. I also used Chris for some professional photos in my Real Estate Business and for my website. You will not be disappointed with Chris and Cami's skills and professionalism. It is an honor to write this recommendation. There are not enough Stars here for my experience. Enjoy!

**★★★★★ — Sandra Ericksen Design, March 2013**

> I use Chris's photography exclusively for my portfolio and website. My website is my introduction to prospective customers and the consistency of his work enhances my work. He is easy to work with and listens to your requests and perspective in order to give you the shot you want.
