> Wow! Laura's work at our home brings new meaning to the term"customized." She had the challenge of finding a stenciled wall treatment that enhanced my Victorian living room and my eclectic kitchen (think eggshell blue retro frig, American farm style corner antique, and Tiffany inspired backsplash). I wanted some whimsical birds too. Laura was always pleasant and when we slammed the door handle on her work, back she came with a smile! Her sense of color and scale is finely tuned. I almost wish I could renovate another home and have more of her magical rooms to live in.

> Laura Reed is a very talented professional artist. I have hired Laura over the years to paint several rooms in my home using various wall finishes, including faux wood paneling, glazes, striates and a suede paint texture.
>
> She is knowledgeable about color, techniques, products used, and interpreting the effect I was looking for.
> I cannot say enough good things about the quality and care that Laura puts into her work or the beauty of the final product.

> Professional patient and fair.Performed worst job( Touch up on prior faux painting) so well can't tell differences. Worked on both wood and walls.

> I've worked with Laura Reed on several occasions for my kitchen. Laura is easy to work with, and an expert with color matching and technique. When we purchased our home, the kitchen had just undergone a renovation that my husband and I loved. The previous owner was a professional chef, and aside from arranging the kitchen for ease and enjoyment of meal preparation, the kitchen itself was beautiful. Over time the green striped wallpaper began to show wear, particularly around the light plates. After searching unsuccessfully for a replacement of the pattern my designer called Laura in to replicate the color and striped pattern in paint! Not only does it match the color of the original paper, it is durable and washable. When it came time to repaint the cabinetry, which had a hand painted glaze, Laura came in and replicated the original glaze, giving the kitchen it's original brightness.

>

>
> Laura’s is not only a highly skilled professional, but a pleasure to work with…

> I don't typically write reviews but Laura Reed's work really inspired me to offer her the highest of praise I can. Backstory: We wanted to transform a shabby floor in the rotunda of our old Tudor Clubhouse into something much richer and important looking while staying within a reasonable budget. But how? Solution: Enter Laura Reed. She recommended a simple and cost effective solution that gave our tired old floor the appearance of an expensive mahogany and chestnut inlaid floor. She created a pattern for my approval and then set to transforming our old floor using a combination of stains and paints until the finished product looked like something out of the Great Gatsby!
>
> Laura's attention to detail and her know-how resulted in a truly spectacular result.

**★★★★★ — McC \| Architecture pllc, Sept. 2015**

> I've worked with Laura Reed for almost as long as she has been in business, and she is my go-to artist for faux and decorative finishes. Her eye is impeccable, and her way with clients makes my job easier. Recently she completed two very different projects for me - matching a wood crown to a stone surround directly beneath it, and interpreting a client's desire for victorian-esqe wall paper in a more contemporary way. Needless to say, nobody realizes the crown isn't stone, and the "wall paper" is fantastic, tying the whole project together. Knowing that I can go to Laura with any idea, no matter how crazy, or how different it might be from the last thing we worked on, allows me greater flexibility in what I can design.
>
> Laura is a true and talented professional, and the range of her skills is fantastic. You should give her a call for your next project in need of decorative finishing.

  - Description: We refreshed this beautiful much loved kitchen and butler's pantry. The original stiped paper was showing some wear so we replaced it with a striped patterned in combing and strie' glaze. The painted surface will be much more durable than the paper and gives a hand done finish. We matched the colors and the pattern of combing and strie' in a stripe. We also refreshed the kitchen cabinets with a new coat of paint and antiqued glaze, and a simple green strie' in the butler's pantry.

  - Location: Irvington, NY

  - Description: A custom made stencil on the living room wall. The client's desire was for an updated Victorian-style wall finish to compliment her many Victorian Antiques. I worked closely with the client's desired colors to create a custom stencil pattern, which had three layers, to achieve a contemporary feel for the space. A second custom-made stencil was created for the kitchen space, and that pattern wrapped into the living room.
