Philip is incredible with space planning and is fabulously creative with all aspects of interior design. He can turn a confined space with lots of walls into an open, inviting living area with such ease. He is very resourceful with the vendors that he uses which are all top flight without the outrageous price tags. He is very conscious of budget and does not pressure you into buying things that are outside your comfort zone. He was exceptionally responsive both while the renovations were going on and even after the work was completed. We so enjoyed working with Philip on both projects and we absolutely love him and our homes. We highly recommend Philip. His talent is extraordinary. One might expect take-over control or pushiness from an interior designer who has such a keen eye. However, this is not the case with Philip Petrino. He accommodates and is never overbearing. He will express him opinion clearly but is never insistent. He is always good humored and a pleasure to work with. My experience is that he can accurately understand and translate a feel or a vision or an effect that I wish to accomplish. His eye for color choices is particularly excellent. There have been times when I have not always envisioned a finished effect when we first discuss something. However, the motto in my family now is "Philip is always right". By this I mean we learned that his creativity and ability to bring about the final look I want trumps an alternative I would think would be the right thing to do. I have received countless positive comments and compliments on my home and each of the offices he has been so instrumental in designing. He is modest, honest, and reliable. His suggestions inevitably incorporate good budgeting limits. A valuable plus is that he works so well coordinating with contractors and suppliers. Even the contractors have made positive comments to me about his choices and suggestions. I have engaged Philip Petrino for all of my interior design needs for years not because he is slow.
