> For many years we have discussed remodeling our master bathroom. Our shower was much too small. After seeing firsthand the beautiful and excellent work done by Thayer Custom Homes & Remodeling and meeting Terry Thayer, we decided to bite the bullet and get this done. They did a complete gut job. They had to remove a large bay window and the jacuzzi tub which we never used. We wanted a large luxurious doorless llevel entry shower. They had to close up this window wall and match the hardiplank on the exterior of the house. They put in 3 transom windows and completely tiled the wall with travertine tile. They installed a rainhead shower plus a slide hand-held showerhead and the two separate controls on the inside of the knee wall with frameless glass. A large bench with a granite top was added where the bay window originally was. A beautiful curved grab bar was also installed. The two L-shaped vanities were custom made in birch. A 90" tower with shelving, also in birch with matching hardware, was made for linens, etc. The countertop was in matching granite as the shower bench. Two custom made 36" x 42" mirrors were made and framed in the same birch and stain as the vanities and tower. They installed 2 whisper quiet exhaust fans, 4 sconces, 2 ceiling lights in the shower on a dimmer switch, and a small chandelier between the two closets. The bathroom and toilet room floor was tiled in a wide slate porcelain that appears to look like hardwood flooring. They put in wide baseboard molding and painted the room plus the closets.
> Working with Terry and his crew was the most delightful experience for this type of work that we could have imagined. He was on top of everything 24/7. His project manager was so accommodating and always came along and introduced the part of the team that was doing work that day. We had a schedule detailed so that we knew exactly what work was being done on any given day and who was doing it. Terry stayed in close contact with us and took care of any questions or concerns. He was always reachable and returned calls/emails immediately. Every single person we dealt with, from the designer to the electricians and plumbers and painters, was a pure delight to work with. Working through the holiday season was stressful enough, but they all made it go smoothly. They were so accommodating and professional. Their work can only be explained as exceptional. Everything is top quality. We couldn't be happier with our new bathroom and the wonderful experience we had working with Thayer Custom Homes & Remodeling. We would most highly recommend them in a heartbeat. They did a truly fabulous job.

> We renovated our kitchen by pulling out a pantry closet and having new cabinets/drawers and oven and microwave installed in its place. Additionally, we replaced our old stove with a new one adding a hood over it where the old microwave went.
>
> I was blown away by the attention to detail and communications with the project manager Dustin.
>
> Quick, attentive and clean. Awesome! We will be contacting them again to do our bathroom and family room renovations.

> All work was done on time and done well. Any issues or questions we had were handled quickly, no issues so just some questions really. All work was done in a professional manner and all workers were very polite. Due to our working schedules, Thayer Custom Homes had to work around us and we were very happy with them seeing to our needs that way..

> The selection was huge and we got a gorgeous granite for our kitchen countertops. There were no hidden costs and we are very happy. We'd use them again without hesitation.

> I first heard of Terry Thayer through my cleaning lady in 2010. She had a client who used him to remodel their bathroom and was very impressed. I called Terry and he sent over one of his consultants to help me with the remodel of my Master Bath. I can not say enough about the service and quality of our remodel. There was always someone to help me every step of the way from the colors to the design of the bathroom. We had a time frame that Terry was sure he could meet and he did with the final price being exactly what he said it would be.
>
> As impressed as we were with his work, Terry and Company outdid themselves two years later when we hired him to remodel our kitchen. I wanted a wall removed and the kitchen gutted. No problem. Once again the designer he brought in was exceptional and Kristi Thayer helped me with corlors and design way above my expectations. Again, he met our time frame and final price exactly as he said he would. We entertain quite a bit and there have been many compliments about our kitchen from all our friends. I have had absolutely no problem recommending Terry Thayer to all of my friends and to anyone who requests a recommendation. Since my house is sixteen years old and I have four more bathrooms to go, I know that Terry will not only be on the top of our list for remodeling but pretty much the only one we'll call.

> Terry and his crew did a great job on our master bath remodel. They were always here when they said they would and finished in a timely manner. Our remodel has held up very well, looks brand new and it was done 2 years ago now.

> I wanted to remodel my kitchen and master bath and began searching for a contractor. Fortunately, I found Thayer Custom Homes and Remodeling. They listened to all my ideas, their designers took me to all the right businesses to view product choices where I made my selections. Whew! That was a day of many decisions but they made it enjoyable. They started work and worked everyday until the project was finished. It was a great experience; one I've never regretted.

> I hired Thayer Custom Homes to replace my 20+ year old deck. The old deck was 12'x12' and my new deck design was done by me (not an artist or architect) in MS Paint. It was horrible. The new deck was to be a partially covered deck that connected to the second floor of my house, the floor of the deck was to be 12' off the ground with a 16'x16' portion covered with an A-Frame roof that tied into my existing roof. There was also an 8'x16' section of deck that was uncovered (sun porch, grill area). Terry took my design, suggested some changes that made a lot of sense and then the crew got to work. Terry was very hands on during the job and showed up at the site at least daily, sometimes staying and working on the project. Terry always listened, his crew always listened, I was a real pain in the butt during the build process. A few points of contention were hit during the build process and these were always addressed to my satisfaction. I am not a picky person for the most part, my motto is "you won't see it in google earth so why does it matter?" but Terry is not. When the landing at the backyard level was complete (1.5' deep, 3'x3') I was content with it as it was just a square block of concrete. Terry saw it and stated that his crew would be ripping it out the next day and redoing it as it was a few degrees off square with the rest of the deck. I hadn't even noticed it. The job was completed on time and on budget, I get compliments from everyone who views the completed work, much more so from those that saw what was there before. I was given a piece of advice by the building inspector who was overseeing the job (permits), he told me "in the event of a hurricane, go stand in the middle of the deck and lash yourself to the center beam, it will be far safer then anywhere else in your house". That speaks to the structural integrity that this deck was built to. I have no complaints, I cannot rate Thayer Custom Homes higher or I would.

> \- Managed time very well , work was started and completed at a stretch and well within the initially estimated time frame.
> \- Quality of fixtures, tiles, granite used was very good.
> \- Work supervision was very well taken care of.
> \- We are very happy with the work done .
> \- We did feel like we paid a lot more than we had anticipated but then we did not truly get multiple estimates for the amount of work we had- so we do not know this for sure.

> We hired Thayer Custom Homes and Remodeling to renovate the downstairs of our home after a water leak in the kitchen.
>
> We had a wall removed between the family room and kitchen. We had all of the kitchen cabinets and countertops replaced, added new appliances. we had the kitchen electrical and lighting replaced. We had oak wood flooring in the back half of the downstairs installed to match the front half and had the front wood refinished when they finished the back half so we have wood floor in most of the downstairs. We added overhead lights in our family room and study and added an additional electrical circuit to the study. We had tile floor installed in our laundry and downstairs bathroom. We had the bathroom cabinet, countertop and toilet replaced. We had all the stained woodwork in the downstairs freshened and the entire downstairs painted and existing wallpaper removed. We had a picket half wall at the top of the stairs replaced with a solid half wall and replaced the partial stair rail with a continuous rail from top to bottom. We had the lower picket banister replaced with a stronger picket wood banister. We had the stair carpeting removed and replaced with oak treads, finished to match the wood floor. We had wood floor installed in the upstairs hallway. We had all the popcorn removed from the ceilings in the downstairs and the upstairs hallway.
>
> During it all, Terry and his crew were wonderful to work with. We knew the cost before any work was done and Kristi helped us pick out all our cabinets, lighting and plumbing fixtures, paint and flooring. They guided us through the process but let us pick our own style. They were awesome to work with and I would highly recommend them. We had the job split before and after Christmas and I had to have ankle surgery in the middle over the holiday. They worked with us to get the job done in a timely manner and were considerate of our scheduling needs. Terry checked his crews work and if he wasn't happy, he would have his crew redo the work. His crew always left the job site clean and orderly at the end of the day. Terry was always very responsive to our questions/concerns. When they found out about my ankle surgery, they made the stairway a priority so I had a safe handrail. I hadn't even thought about it but Terry did!
>
> We plan to use Terry and his crew when we refinish our master bath.

> I recently completed my fourth project with Thayer Custom Homes and Remodeling. To say I am pleased with their work is an understatement. The latest project involved removing all the old carpet and putting in a combination of hardwoods and new carpet. They also got rid of the popcorn ceilings and replaced with smooth. Lighting was redone in the foyer, dining room and den. The den was completely remodeled removing wainscoating, rebuilding a bookcase, covering the brick fireplace and transforming it with sheetrock, a new mantel and granite. The den, living room, dining room, foyer and hall were all painted. The transformation was stunning. I continue to come back to them for my remodeling needs because of the quality of their work, the attention to detail and the professionalism of the owners. I have not been disappointed in any of the work they have done for me. Terry is always polite and responsive. Kristy has fabulous taste and the colors and fixtures she has suggested for my house have made it a place of beauty. I am more than pleased with this company and all of the work they have done for me. I would recommend them highly to anyone needing work done on their house.

> I hired Thayer Custom Homes & remodeling to install new kitchen cabinets and counter tops in our home. From design to installation they were very helpful and professional. As to be expected there were issues along the way but Terry responded promptly and addressed all our concerns. We are very satisfied with the end result and would recommend them to anyone.
