> Carmon and Eamon, proprietors of Roundtable Builders, took over our rooftop expansion on the Upper West Side of Manhattan a couple of months ago, and this medium-sized, somewhat fiddly job has run smoothly since. Not only are Carmen and Eamon professional, courteous and responsive, they've proven themselves wise to New York construction, and to date have completed various phases right the first time. Coming in on a job part-way done is a challenge for everyone, yet my wife and I notice they adapt and overcome problems usually before they surface...all while getting along with everyone from subs to architect and engineer. Refreshingly, they are also fun to talk with and each has an atypical back story which I think contributes to how they approach and overcome challenges. We find ourselves actually enjoying construction again (at times!). When you add to this that they've made every effort to work to a tight budget and maintain design objectives, we hope any reader can see why we're happy with them. We hope our job continues in the same way but most of all that others out there may enjoy a similar experience to ours with Roundtable.

> Being a single women in New York, I was dreading findings a Contractor that I could trust. I'd met with contractors before, but I was never comfortable enough to move forward. So I've put off remodeling my home for the last 5 years. I just happen to strike up a conversation with Carmen while in Home Depot fantasizing about a new kitchen. She gave me a ton of tips before giving me her card. Carmen is proof that there should be more women in this industry. She is fair and straight forward. Roundtable remodeled my kitchen and installed beautiful hardwood floors. Pulling permits took a little longer than expected, but Carmen made sure to keep me in the loop with every hiccup. I love my kitchen and floors so much! I had such a great experience with RTB I'm considering redoing my bathrooms. Go with RTB.

> Excellent contractor with reliable construction skills and methods. Efficient and very professional. As an architect, I highly recommend them and they offer reasonable and competitive pricing.
> I have also enjoyed the experience of working as part Carmen's team. It is very refreshing to be able to work side-by-side with a general contractor who values my opinion and offer good, constructive and realistic ideas.
> I have worked with Carmen's team for the past 3-4 years, and we have built all types of projects together, from institutional to commercial and to residential.

> As and Architect & Owners Rep, I have worked w/this team for over 10 years on various residential construction projects, including (2) for my personal residences (one a cosmetic & one a gut renovation). They are honest!, thorough!, reliable!!!!!, knowledgeable!!!!, and have good taste! They have sound judgment and are easy to collaborate with to develop ideas and solutions. They are grounded in the NYC coop world, understanding the challenges that can present and work well w/management. They continue to work w/me for on going upgrades & changes to my apt. And I have recently recommended them to my neighbor .....who hired them on my sole recommendation!

> My wife and I bought a co-op last year. 1100 square feet with a patio. The woman who had owned it before was quite elderly and did nothing at all to maintain the place. And why would she have, she was happy there and that was fine with us. We needed the place completely stripped of wall paper, skim coated, painted. The bathroom was a complete renovation right down to the studs. The kitchen needed new counters, all new plumbing all over and all the electrical had to be upgraded. The wiring was all from the 1940's.
>
> Roundtable was amazing, they kept on budget, were keen to make sure we were present for all design and color meetings (as all companies should) and they worked around our busy schedule to insure that all decisions went through us.
>
> My wife suddenly had to have some emergency surgery and Carmen the President of RB personally called us concerned about when she was coming back form the hospital and they finished the job earlier than estimated to make sure she did not have to recover while surrounded by dust and workmen.
>
> We love our home, Roundtable receives our highest rating and gratitude for all they did for us.

  - Description: This late 1800′s classic brownstone was a complete renovation leaving only the bones of the building intact. Although almost everything is new to the building, the details are classic, simple and in most cases recycled elements from other old buildings. The parlor level floor is recycled antique wide plank barn wood and most of the walls were given Venetian plaster finish. The only original element to the house was the staircase, stripped and refinished to its original state. The house was exten…
