Once the main floor and treads were sanded, they did stain samples on both the oak stair tread and maple for us to choose from (note that maple and oak take stain differently). As the original oak flooring on the 2nd floor was in decent shape, we elected to not refinish it, but had any needed repairs done. Sebastian managed to keep the original nosings along the stairs. They did a great job, the overall look is fantastic. Sebastian and Scott were very good answering our questions throughout the process. The work took 5 days, 3 of which we stayed elsewhere. > We would highly recommend them for any hardwood work you need. When we took up the carpet we knew right away that they would be beautiful again if refinished.
