> I interviewed 5 general contractors for my remodel project of a 1974 ranch. The project included the kitchen, 2 bathrooms, laundry room, family room bar, etc. Pretty much the entire first floor of my home was at the very least painted and had the old oak 1970's trim replaced.  My neighbor had used Jim for her remodel project last year and had highly recommended him. At the time I was leaning toward another contractor who had remodeled my front porch a couple of years ago and I had liked working with. Jim's bid came in around the middle of the pack, however he included much more detail and offered a more complete project. I felt like the other contractors all wanted to skip details in various rooms to cut cost. I also liked the idea that Jim used all the same sub contractors for his projects and knew them very well. I met with Jim several times before hiring him. At each meeting, he had several suggestions for improving the project which at the time I was not sure about. As the project was completed, he was spot on. If I had not taken these suggestions, I surely would not be as happy with the end result as I am. Which I have to say is 10 out of 10. Jim was also here every day to oversee the work which I commend him for.  I highly recommend J. Stefl Development for any remodel project.
