When we arrived home the retaining wall was nothing like what we had wanted. We had to ask them to redo it. > Then our grading was failed by the city multiple times after it had been finished. The soil used must have been contaminated with Canadian thistle as we do not have any around our neighbourhood or behind our house that looks like it. Also, the tree planted on our front lawn is not straight. As our project involved a full make-over of our entire property, we were determined to find a landscape contractor who understood our vision and had the skill to make it a reality. For us, Sean was that person. With his help, our property went from Boring to Wow. We ripped out everything, including the fence and deck, leaving only the mature trees. Sean then regraded the entire property, ran gas, water, and electrical conduit everywhere, had the deck rebuilt, installed a beautiful patio, a winding pathway and other hardscape features, then brought in a large amount of new plant material (I like heavily planted landscapes) and an impressive amount of mulch. When he was done, we couldn't have been happier. The work done included building a retaining wall, curved stone walkway (against a curved, unique driveway), installation of grass and ensuring that the property was properly graded. My wife is very picky so RCL allowed us to go to the nursery and select the right tree and aspens. We were also explained the pros and cons of different types of trees and what suited our property the best. The foreman (Sean?) was excellent, knowledgeable and friendly and most of all the work was top-notch. Clean-up was also done promptly after the job was done.
