I have never written a negative review for anything, but my experience with them has been such a nightmare that I don't want anyone else to go through what I have gone through. First off, their work was subpar at best. And they way overcharged me for a really poor job. I needed to have a very small area cleared of weeds and then wanted sod installed. The clean up job of the weeds was minimal and there was a lot of stuff left. Things they said they would do, such as trim back shrubs and hang some climbing vines were not done. I had splurged hoping to have a beautiful, clean, well-manicured yard but the job they did was FAR from that. The edging of the lawn after it was installed was jagged and uneven. The sod they used was dried up and already dying when they put it in. Many large patches of it were completely dead within a couple of days despite constant watering. And the 2 arborvitae they planted died quickly as well despite daily watering. > > They left piles of dirt and debris everywhere. They sliced up my soaker hose while doing the work. I contacted the owner to kindly request that they come back and replace the patches of completely dead sod, replace the brand new soaker hose they had destroyed, clean up the mess that was left behind, and he was incredibly rude and unfriendly. He said they did what I paid them for and they weren't going to do anything else. I finally at least convinced him to replace the soaker hose that he admittedly destroyed. He did not do that but said he would send me a check for the amount of the hose. I went out and bought the new hose and had someone install it and then a week later someone from Beaver Landscape showed up to take care of the hose. I told the owner I had already taken care of it and he suddenly went back on his word and said that since he had made a trip all the way over to my house he was not going to mail me a check for the hose and installation after all. I showed him our text conversation where said he was not coming back and that I should buy my own hose but he still refused to pay for it. He was hostile and aggressive each time we spoke. Beaver Landscaping does not care at all about customer satisfaction. They work efficiently and communications are responsive and quick. We gave each our thoughts and ideas on what we wanted to see as a complete vision of our steeply graded property. We also wanted to use steps, pavers, and terraces as part of the overall completed project. > > Marcelo walked the property, asked questions and took photos. He came back with a quote, which we ultimately enlarged with special extras of our choosing. His quote was not the lowest, nor was it the highest, even when all was said and done. > > The result was magnificent, and beyond even our own vision. We requested low-rise steps since we aren't getting any younger, and didn't want to have to haul green waste cans up steep steps during pruning season. We got nice, low-rise steps in a graceful arc around a great planted area surrounded by retaining walls - one of several that Marcelo and his crew deftly created and built. > > We chose to select our own plants and trees, and are slowly learning the northwest climate temperament in that regard. But, Marcelo did remove and replant a number of large Rhododenrons, Azaleas, and a lovely Camellia that all had been in the ground for a long time so we were worried about their survival. All have bloomed beautifully for two years since the renovation was completed. We're delighted at the results. Marcelo's crew comes out regularly now to do maintenance and we're very pleased with the work. > > If you want quality work and expert garden care, give Marcelo a call. He has a first rate team and all are skilled and careful with their work.
