I have used Regency on two occasions for both my house and my cottage and both projects I have been very please. Marcel is transparent and pays very close attention to detail. His trades where thorough and respectful. The house came in on budget but the cottage went a tad over. This was a result of us adding scope to the project ( we wanted a permenant dock added) overall my wife and I are very please with the result and would highly recommend him. He wasn’t the cheapest but with project management I feel you get what you pay for! **★ — No Go, July 2017** > I hope to provide a more recent review of Regency. I hired Regency and Marcel for a renovation project. Detailed plans were drawn up by a designer and materials chosen at the onset of the project. Regency Construction ran way over budget (40%+) and took an extensive amount of time amounting to extra costs. The site was often left inactive for extended periods. Marcel is extremely hot headed and a very difficult man to deal with. He took no accountability with incidents of questionable workmanship. I would definitely not recommend Regency Construction. **Comment from Regency Construction Management:** > Joanne - I am sorry you feel this way. A few notes for the public reading this: > > 1\) We are a construction management company and provide budgets based on the information given to us at the onset of every project. We had provided you with a budget of 100k for your condo renovation as per the drawings provided to us. > 2\) The actual overages on this project were 30%. Anytime we encountered a line item that was not included in our original budget, we contacted you and your architect before proceeding. There was no work done without approval from you and/or Beauparlant Design > 3\) As you were out of the country for most of the project, we graciously paid all trades for labor and material. We had an agreement that all reimbursable expenses were to be looked after within 2 weeks. > 4\) As we neared completion there were 4 unpaid invoices amounting to over $36,000 that you refused to pay. > 5\) I am proud of the workmanship and stand by it 100%. I would love to come back and fix the small deficiencies as we do in all of our projects, but until your overdue balance is looked after - as per our original agreement - work has ceased. **★★★★★ — im99, April 2016** > I used Marcel and Regency for a home renovation and found him to be excellent. Marcel responded quickly to our requests (and all of our subsequent requests) and did the work on time and on budget. He was efficient, professional and a pleasure to work with. Marcel constantly followed up to get our feedback on the work, if we were satisfied, and what else he could do to help us. Since completing the work, Marcel has been a resource for further projects, hooking us up with the best in the industry for decor, landscaping, etc. I highly recommend Marcel and his team for any project.
