Heather King visited my home and listened to my ideas and made suggestions. She was patient and encouraging as she made revisions after a few visits. She was able to suggest vendors for my quartz countertop and any other aspect of the job. I was presented with several computer generated drawings of the plan and she had great cabinet knowledge. I was offered a financial break if I paid up front, which I did. > The installation of my new cabinets were on time as promised. Steve Klitsch was knowledgable and was able to make adjustments to my plumbing to allow me to have tall cabinets with all the space I needed. His crew was on time each day and communicative about what would come next and what to expect. Everything was clean when he left each day and he helped to keep water loss to a minimum. I could not be happier with my results. I no longer have to bend down on my knees and reach back to get something. Everything rolls out for selection. I love it. The room had the 1980’s vinyl flooring, a few original cabinets, sink and washer dryer in the wrong place. I had contacted several contractors, the King design Group met with me, drew up a design after a home visit where pictures were taken and listened to me in all my requests and made it happen flawlessly. Heather who heads the group helped me choose quality cabinets and stuck to our budget. There were no delays, cabinets had soft close hinges, rolling shelves and were solid wood all made in the USA. Heather made the best use of our space and made the best suggestions. She even custom designed nooks for our laundry baskets across from the washer/dryer, she smartly measured our baskets to make sure the space would work. One shelf came in with too shallow a depth, she made sure it was resolved at no cost to us. Heather really knows her business. We put in quartz countertops and heated porcelain floors. There is a pull out drawer for our ironing board. Hanging rods over the sink and laundry cubbies that are out of sight. We loved the outcome and experience so much, we turned to The King Design Group again a year later to redesign our kitchen to retrofit the existing cabinets with upgraded features. We love how The King Design Group offered quality cabinets and more importantly the actual design and reliable measurements so that the space was used to its maximal potential including lighting ideas. A year later we say to ourselves how much we love these two rooms and what a great experience the renovations were. We would use her to renovate any room in our Potomac home if needed. They can all banged up, they were missing pieces, they had to send someone out to do extensive touch ups. Then several of the drawers would catch or not close properly. The owner has come out 3 times to "fix" the drawer and it still does not work. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. This has been a horrible experience. The sales women was good, but who cares when the products are bad. We don't know what else to do, we might have an outside contractor come in to fix it and invoice The King Design group. I doubt they will pay, but not having a work drawer for over 2 years in a small kitchen where we use every inch has been more than a minor inconvenience. **Comment from The King Design Group:** > Thank you for sharing your concerns and feedback. Vicki also came to my house to meet with the installers ( also excellent) and checked in periodically as the work progressed. There was a problem with two of the cabinet doors-Vicki immediately had them replaced and picked up and returned the doors to the manufacturer herself.
