We began a search for a professional contractor who could do this. We went off referrals to get our traditional 3 bids. First company did a friends home and we liked the work. Took forever to get us a bid and was very high. The other company was much lower in price but wanted to do some crazy design that made no sense to us. My wife met with CDH Design & Build. She called me after the first meeting and told me "this is the contractor we need to use." > > Christel brings several key elements to her product- interior design suggestions (surfaces, paint, fabrics, fixtures, tile etc) and quality. She fits a segment of contractors that is often more akin to high end builds involving architects and interior designers, but without the cost. What seemed like a simple idea turned out to require more decisions than we would have ever thought possible, and Christel was with us every step of the way. After we had our basic design in place, Christel took us to a variety of tile, lighting and fixture stores, brought samples to us or emailed us suggestions for on-line shopping.
