I began working as an Interior Designer in 1992 just after college. I have enjoyed several levels and layers of the business including 20 years as a new home construction, drafting and design. The last 9 years have been with Romanelli & Hughes Building Company and I have decided to branch out on my own to include Interior Design while still pursuing drafting. I have truly loved designing the perfect home for my clients, but also want to opportunity to decorate it after they move into their newly designed home. In addition, I am skilled to work in any stage of a home, whether you just need help decorating with your own pieces or start from scratch. I enjoy helping people understand and create the home of their dreams within their desired budget. My clients seem to know what they don't want more often than what they do want in their home and I help to discern the difference. I am extremely detailed to every aspect of the home design. My extensive experience and knowledge sets me apart from other Interior Designers in the Central Ohio area.

**★★★★★ — chris\_halvorson, Dec. 2015**

> Linda helped us design our house to be something more special than we could have ever done by ourselves. Her thoughtfulness and attention to details were very helpful to think of how we are going to use our house then design the necessary accents to make it more useful and look the way we envisioned. Linda is also very much able to work with a budget in mind and help save money in places we never would have thought and then spend it in other areas for a bigger impact.

> We highly recommend working with Linda

> Linda helped design our original home design from start to finish. She helped make our dream a reality and got our vision very quickly and efficiently. This was the first person of several builders that we met with that got our wants and needs that quickly. We would definately use her again and highly recommend her to anyone building a R& H home.

 - Location: Powell, OH

 - Description: The Owner had a great sense of what she wanted and I just helped her put it all together. Every inch was thought out and there was very little wasted space, but plenty of space for everything they needed. This house is very elegant but it lives very comfortably.

 - Description: I had the privilege of designing this home from scratch as well as decorating the entire home. This home is inspired by their love of the Waldorf Astoria in Chicago. The concept was to keep a timeless, classic design but with some "bling" touches which was mostly done with the lighting.
- [Walnut Grove](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/walnut-grove-pj-vj~2607201)

 - Description: I call this home East meets West. The man of the home is from the Jersey Shore and the lady of the home grew up in the mountains. The exterior of the home is very Mediterranean for his Italian roots and the inside has more of an elegant rustic lodge feel for her mountain roots. The finishes and details make this home comfortable for both as well as their large extended family and friends that visit often.

 - Description: The Client already had a great eye, but just asked me to put the finishing touches on several areas of her home to pull it all together. Adding the brick wall in the kitchen and the triple barn door closet in the play room made the biggest impact.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Beautiful! Can you please provide the name/brand of wallpaper? Thank u** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: I'm so sorry, but I no longer have that information available.

**Q: Beadboard questions** *(in Photo Questions)*

Love the beadboard !
Was it put down in sheets or individual boards?
Doe it sit behind the baseboard or on top of it?
Could you give me an idea about the trim involved? I'm working on a bathroom for church. thanks !!

A: Yes the beadboard came in sheets and was placed directly on top of the 7" baseboard. To add more height I added a 5.5" baseboard on top of the beadboard and put it upside down with a 1.5" cap to finish it all off. I hope this helps.

**Q: Exterior design advice** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Looking for ideas to improve curb appeal. The front of my house is dominated by the garage doors and a screened in porch. My thoughts are to:
1\) move spiral staircase to the right side of the deck.
2\) replace garage doors with fatezzi faux wood carriage doors
3\) put a larger planter between the garage doors where the stairs are currently
4\) Not sure with paint colors but don't love the brown.

Any ideas?

A: Don't forget about the lighting around the new garage doors. I like lights above the doors instead of on the sides. Add some light and airy fabric inside the screened porch at each panel section to soften the dark screens on the inside and out. I do not mind shutter, but I would remove the shutter on the arched stout window, but be sure to add trim around the entire window so it doesn't look unfinished...this is true for your new garage doors too. I would also pain the lower garage portion a different color than the upper portion to add weight under the dark porch.

**Q: What is the paint color?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: The Color is called Bisque from Porter / Pittsburgh Paints

**Q: Lights** *(in Photo Questions)*

I love your lighting choice. Where can I find them?

A: Thanks I actually got them at Home Depot.

**Q: Dining room advice** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I need staging advice for my dining room. Is it too much? Not working all together?
Thank you!

A: I like the changes, but I would also add shades to the hanging light fixture...I am not sure why the candle holders are so contrasting to the metal. Shades will help to soften the contrast. I agree to thin out the side table, but you can keep the lights if you just replace the globes to something lighter to match the ceiling fixture.
