Founded by Steve Pendleton in 1985, Pendleton Design Management is one of the most respected landscape design/build firms in the Intermountain West.

Our ideal client is the home owner with a desire to expand their living space to the outdoors and embrace the beauty and tranquility that nature provides as part of their everyday life. For over 30 years we've drawn inspiration from the splendor of Utah’s mountain landscape. We employ a palette of art-quality trees, indigenous stone and distinct water features to create the most natural and stunning space for you and your family to enjoy for years to come.

Our creative process combines a client’s taste and perspective with our experience and vision. We begin by meeting with you, discussing your goals and exploring your property’s natural attributes. Then our talented designers incorporate our signature elements, such as specimen trees, distinctive water features, and complementary hardscapes, which distinctively set us apart from other landscape designers.

We are a landscape design/build company and there are many benefits to this combination. Our designers manage your projects from the beginning right down to the planting of the last flower. This results in achieving great continuity in the final product.

> Our association with Steve Pendleton and his sons has spanned 30 years and two homes. They have been instrumental in helping us make our yard and home a little piece of paradise. Beginning with the landscape design, the plantings (many trees handpicked from near and far), the care and nurturing which includes pruning and specialized fertilization, as well as the design and maintenance of a beautiful waterfall, they basically do it all. Their passion and love for what we have created together is obvious. We are as loyal to them as they are to us. Thank you Pendleton Design!

**★★★★★ — Progressive Plants, Nov. 2018**

> We have provided Pendleton Design Management with plants for years. They make a sincere effort to find out what their clients want and provide them with the best quality available. We’ve been thrilled to be part of some of the most stunning landscapes in Utah. They have truly mastered the art of Landscape Design. We know if it’s a Pendleton Design Management job, we will be represented very well.

**★★★★★ — Jim Mansfield, Nov. 2018**

> When we searched Houzz looking for an artistic Japanese maple to plant outside one of our front windows most of the beautiful trees came from Pendleton. We contacted them about buying a tree. They told us they didn’t sell trees, they only did complete landscapes but would be happy to look at our property and make some recommendations. The founder of Pendelton, Steve Pendleton, came by to look at our property and met with us.
> We live in the center of Salt Lake City on a 0.13 acre close to a major traffic artery. We just wanted to look out our windows to see something more than our neighbors’ homes, a string of driveways, and a street Designs lined with parked cars.
> It was obvious from the beginning that Steve loves trees and water and rocks and understands the healing power they have. Although much of their work is on very expensive properties in Park City Steve caught the vision of what we were looking for and was excited to work with us.
> Steve graciously showed us two large properties he had landscaped. The beauty and healing power of his work along with his enthusiasm for what he does completely drew us in.
> Pendleton Designs is a family business. Steve has a long history with plants and landscaping. He loves trees and water and rocks and understands their healing power. His oldest son, Matt, majored in art in college and does the overall designs. His youngest son, Joshua, has a strong connection to the elements of nature, to the earth, and to the natural balance of all things. They worked together to create our design.
> While we knew the feeling we wanted to create we could not envision what it should look like. Pendleton showed us a color sketch of for our yard that included a stream and we knew right away it was perfect. We agreed on the spot to move ahead and set up the timeline for the project. They started when they said they would and completed the project as promised.
> It was hard to believe how beautiful it was. Pendleton Design captured that feeling of what we wanted better than we could have imagined it.
> My cousin, who got her love for plants and flowers from her father, a lifelong agriculture agent, gasped when she first saw our yard. She said it looked like something that no human person could create. It was as if every rock, tree, and path has been there naturally for all time.
> Now we have beautiful views wherever we look outside our home. It would not, however, be complete without the stream. We never dreamed we could have a stream on our small lot. The stream looks so natural another cousin said he did not remember us having a real stream in our yard.
> Even though the houses on either side of us are only about 25 feet away our backyard is now secluded and we rarely hear the traffic. We spend a good portion of our time at home outside in the yard or inside with the doors open. It takes only one or two deep breaths to release the cares of the day before we begin to enjoy the peacefulness and beauty that surrounds us. We are refreshed by the sound of the stream and renewed by the healing power of the trees and rocks. I am unable to put into words the healing power and beauty our landscape now has for us.

**★★★★★ — Douglas Knight Construction, May 2015**

> We have teamed up with Pendleton DM on a number of projects, and with always exemplary results! They come onto any of our projects with a huge knowledge of their trees, plants and products to design amazing sites, while targeting our client's desired budget. Their water feature work is amazing! So natural and artistically built. They have access to some of the most amazing plants and trees that is hard to come by, and they have great buying power to give great pricing.
>
> The installation process has always been very smooth, clean and professional. Steve, Jeremy and the rest of their team are awesome to work with, and excel in their craft. We are proud to recommend them to our clients, and feel they really bring a great overall value to the finishing touches of our homes.
