I was not even aware of what I wanted to do, but based on my description of what I needed psychologically, she magically designed 4 rooms for me. > She listens to her client, has wonderfully diverse ideas and knows her brands and can make the whole experience fun and exciting. > She was respectful of my budget, my deadlines, and she is a professional at all times. In addition to having a lovely design sense, she was patient and flexible in working with us. As is often the case, a simple project to redecorate one room was the catalyst for several subsequent projects. Decisions for one room that opened into other living areas had to take the issues with the other areas into consideration. We were beginning to feel overwhelmed with analysis paralysis. Because our initial budget couldn't scale to handle the full scope of the project(s), Kit put together a plan that could be implemented in waves. She made sure that design choices for each step and each room coordinated, even though the steps were spaced out over the course of two years. When the entire project was finally completed, you'd never know it hadn't been done all at once. We are building something similar in our home and we're trying to figure out the best way to do it. Are the cabinets and shelving mounted directly to the wall or is it a whole "unit" that has wood backing also? Meaning.. did you paint the inside of the shelves directly on the wall or the wood?
