I think it also seems a little rustic. I like cleaner lines. A: This is distress and glazed. If you can look past that to the style. This is a simple door with a profile on both sides of the rail and a flat panel. This is not an applied molding or mitered door. We could do a clean paint job on a door like this. Most of the wall that is seen is tile, but I don't know what the color is. There is 50" between the sink and the wall and 17" to the door frame from the door frame. We need this door to be functional, but I am not sure what to do with the cupboards. Our kitchen guy (not a designer) suggested the design below, but I don't think this will leave me with enough counter space, as I would like this to be our coffee area.
