**★ — Ashley, July 2024**

> DON'T BUY APPLIANCES HERE! Despite the fact that my husband and I have spent so much money at this store, they wouldn't let us return an item that THEIR driver opened.
>
> After purchasing our first home we wanted to support a local business when it came to appliance shopping. We researched local appliance stores and ultimately purchased a $3K Miele washer/dryer, a $10K Bertazzoni induction range, and a $3K Fisher Paykel fridge from Plesser's in Southampton. Our first purchase was great, no issues.
>
> When it came time to purchase our new Miele dishwasher and small bar fridge, we of course wanted to shop with Plesser's again. We worked with Emily to place our order. The day our appliances arrived, the delivery driver offered to unpack the fridge, to which my husband said sure. The driver did not unpack the dishwasher. Later that night, my husband realized we had ordered the wrong size bar fridge.
>
> We emailed Emily to ask to return the bar fridge and place an order for a new one. We were told that because the bar fridge was opened, they were unable to take it back, because their return policy is that all opened boxes are not returnable. We asked if they could make an exception because a.) we've spent so much money with them in the past and we were loyal customers at that point and b.) the driver unpacked it for us and at no point did he say that by unpacking it, it would essentially render the item un-returnable. Emily said no, they weren't taking it back. We also asked to speak to a manager, and from then on were ignored completely.
>
> I still can't believe that they wouldn't let us exchange this bar fridge for another one. We were clearly repeat customers, and we were even willing to return it for the 30% restocking fee they take for still boxed items (which is also crazy!).
>
> We will never be shopping at Plesser's again due to their terrible return policy, and frankly, their non-existent customer service. So much for shopping local. Buyer beware!

**★ — April .Warford, March 2023**

> I ordered a cooktop on 3/6/23 and received a shipping window of 3/13-3/27. I called Plesser's on 3/24 for a status as I'd not heard from them. The ship date is now mid May, and they want me to buy a different cooktop from them. Feels like "bait and switch". I'll be canceling this order and buying local.

> M. Aziz:
> You did a great job since you are very knowledgeable across the board with suppliers. You comprehended immediately all of our needs and how best to fit them with the inventory and delivery requests.
> Five stars across the spectrum of professionalism, understanding both the buyer’s desires and how best to match them most efficiently.
> On top of it all you are a lot of fun to work with. Hope we have the chance to do more down the road and share some BBQ time/location!

**★ — Leif Leif, Nov. 2021**

> Company took my order, demanded more money at delivery, then took the item back when I refused to pay. Don't waste your time with these scammers.

**★★★★★ — Consumers Kitchens & Baths, Aug. 2020**

> We began recommending our customers to Plessers in 2016, and they instantly established themselves as a trade partner we could trust. Our customers consistently praise their friendly service, knowledgeable sales staff, helpful delivery workers, and the outstanding selection in their Babylon showroom. They also do a wonderful job communicating appliance details & specifications back to our kitchen designers, to help us complete projects without a hitch. When you add it all up, Plessers is the best place to go for new appliances.

**★★★★★ — Jennifer Lipp, Aug. 2018**

> Plessers was great from start to finish. Mary and Beth were quick to respond to my emails and calls when I had questions, and also made a great suggestion for a dishwasher in my price point. The install went smoothly, all in all they made it an easy, quick experience.

**★ — Allan Price, Aug. 2017**

> I originally THOUGHT I was having a great experience with Plesser's. I purchased almost an entire kitchen of appliances, including a refrigerator-only refrigerator, a freezer-only freezer, 30-inch double ovens, a 30-inch convection oven/microwave, and a Bosch 800-series panel-ready dishwasher. I encountered a problem after the dishwasher was installed. It was then, and only then (because there was no indication on my order, my invoice, my packing list or the box in which the dishwasher was packed) that I discovered the salesperson who placed my order included an ADA-compliant Bosch 800-series dishwasher instead of a standard-sized 800 series dishwasher.
>
> The ADA-model is approximately 1 - 2 inches shorter and shallower than a standard model, which means I have a gap between the dishwasher and the cabinet top and my customer cabinet panel does not fit. Additionally, the dishwasher is smaller inside and seems inferior in almost every way to a standard 800 series dishwasher, which I had owned prior to renovating my kitchen. While we had already run a "test" run on the dishwasher and had discarded the packing box, prior to discovering the problem, I otherwise contact Plesser's immediately upon discovering the problem. It took numerous calls before I was actually able to speak with my salesperson, then it took about 10 more calls to speak with the salesperson again, who said he was discussing the matter with the "customer service" (HA!) manager. It then it took me about 6 more calls to get the final answer that they would do nothing, and I mean nothing to help me, I even offered to just take a 50% refund and purchase a more expensive dishwasher model, which would have mean spending approximately $1,000 more with Plesser's (e.g., I was willing to accept at least 50% of the responsibility for the erroneous order, even though I believe the salesperson was at fault).
>
> I have no idea why the salesperson ordered the ADA model, and there was no way for me to know that the particular model number which apparently designates the model as ADA compliant was the one ordered. The only way you can determine that the ADA model is, in fact, an ADA model, is to look into the "Dimensions & Weight" specifications for that specific model on the Bosch website, which provides the dimensions which are smaller than a standard model. There is nothing, and I mean nothing, that indicates this model is not a standard sized model, you would have to know the dimensions for a standard model and figure it out. I'm not in the appliance business, I'm a customer who depended upon the salesperson to order to correct model number, or I happened (and I do not believe I did) to provide the salesperson with a specific model number vs. just saying I wanted a 800-series, panel-ready, Bosch dishwasher, then it would seem that a knowledgeable appliance sales person would have asked if I actually wanted or needed an ADA-compliant model, since I did not order any other ADA-compliant appliances.
>
> I would not have taken my time to write this review had they done anything, something for me. Again, I was willing to accept some of the fault for the erroneous order, I just wanted them to meet me at least half-way, but they offered absolutely nothing.
>
> The bottom line is that: (1) I spent approximately $1,000 on a dishwasher that never should have been ordered by the Plesser's sales person and which does not work for my kitchen; (2) Plesser's will do nothing to help me, not even meet me half-way, even thought their sales person was at least partially, if not fully, at fault; (3) I have to spend another $1,000 for a new dishwasher; and (4) if they were going to do NOTHING, they could have told me so a month ago, so I could have already ordered a new replacement dishwasher.
>
> Terrible, terrible, terrible "customer service" and apparently sales people who have a lack of training and appliance knowledge.

**★★★★★ — JJSB Development, Nov. 2016**

> Our company specializes in the remodel and sale of newly built and renovated homes. Jason is the only person we trust with our business, and that of our clients, for good reason. Quite simply, when it comes to customer service, there is NO ONE better. He has consistently exceeded our expectations on price, efficiency and reliability. When he says he will do something, it gets done correctly the first time. He understands the urgencies of construction projects intuitively. Moreover, whenever I send customers to him, they are regularly impressed with his product knowledge, friendliness and candor. We give him the highest recommendation. He is a credit to the Plesser’s organization, and a true asset to our business.

**★★★★★ — dmdz97, Oct. 2016**

> Thank you Rob Nielsen for making our appliance shopping a pleasant one! You are a true professional! Would not shop anywhere else! From the start, I knew that we were in good hands and look forward to future purchases from Rob at Plessers!

**★★★★ — Jordan Janis, June 2016**

> UPDATED REVIEW: 19 JULY 2016
> I had purchased appliances from Plesser's back in March. One appliance was basically DOA and I had issues with Plesser's customer service getting a replacement appliance. This resulted in a one-star review and a very detailed description of the events. However....
>
> Alan, owner of Plesser's, contacted me after seeing my review. He agreed that there was more that customer service could have done for me and stepped in himself to take care of the problem. The new appliance coming from the manufacturer would be returned to the distributor for credit which they would then pass on to Plesser's and then on to me which I then applied to the purchase of a brand new machine from a different manufacturer.
>
> I was very pleased that Alan stepped in to handle this. He truly seems to care about the reputation of the company. He reads the reviews, is objective and reasonable about the issue, and then is willing to make things right if they should be made right. He saw that in my case I was sent a dud and I shouldn't have had to deal with it on my own. I appreciate his effort! The new appliance arrived today.
>
> Now THAT'S the way customer service should be! Changed to four stars!
>
> BTW - I still highly recommend Peter!

**★★★★★ — jolo0807, June 2016**

> Wonderful experience! this is by far the largest appliance I have purchased over the internet. I called Plessers.com after I selected a Samsung Washer Dryer I had seen in the local Lowes. When i went online to check out the Pricing the Plessers website came up. From ordering to delivery to installation it went very smooth.
> . Very well run organization and great people who work there and care about the customers. I would buy here again...

**★★★★★ — josephine88, Dec. 2014**

> Excellent experience shopping at Plessers. I Was a bit nervous since I live in Virginia and they were in New York. I have to say I read the reviews on them and did my home work on the appliances I wanted. The ordering process was very easy as I called and spoke to them via the telephone. The prices were cheap and no tax to Virginia seemed like a good deal. I ordered 4 appliances for the new kitchen renovation. The lead time they told me was about 3 weeks. I did get a call from the trucking company a few days ahead of time to schedule. The day of delivery came and all appliances were brought in to my house without a scratch. It was a job well done. Who knew you can order such large appliances so efficiently online. I even received a follow up call from Plessers thanking me for my purchase. Great transaction all the way!

## Community Q&A

**Q: One of our newest kitchen transformations!** *(in Before & After)*

The existing closed-in, overcrowded kitchen is now an expanded dream room with plenty of storage, function and 2 large islands!

A: Beautiful transformation :)

**Q: What is this wallpaper?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Where is this wallpaper from and which design is it?

A: Please contact NY Woodstock Inc. for questions regarding the wall paper. Thank you for your question.

**Q: NYC - Dark to Light Kitchen Renovation** *(in Before & After)*

Another successful kitchen renovation by BKB.
This “before” layout came
to us with a fridge cramped right up next to both the sink and the
stove. No elbow room for anyone!
Placed right in the middle of the room it seems; the fridge is the
largest appliance in this space and in this location, its appearance is
not minimized. Hinged on the opposite side makes it nearly impossible to
open especially with more than one cook in the kitchen.

The dark cabinets were once in style but feel heavy and a bit too
traditional for our clients. Thankfully the cabinets were already to
the ceiling so there was no soffit to remove. The existing peninsula
also stopped a bit short of the other side of the kitchen. We maximized
this length as well in the after design.
Welcome to the kitchen of the 21st century!
Newly installed Miralis
cabinets in a gloss white polymer shaker door invites even more natural
light into the space. A cool grey floor is a nice break from many
square feet of the warm parquet flooring throughout the apartment.
Dal-Tile
supplied us with a porcelain tile called Ambassador in Global Grey. It
matches nicely with the stainless-steel appliances (note the new
fridge☺) and therefore helps the appliances blend in with the kitchen
design and not seem so interrupting and crammed.
Also, we obviously moved the placement of the fridge to anchor one
side of the run of cabinets. This allows for easy access from the rest
of the apartment and way more elbow room for cooking in the work triangle of the kitchen.
Caesarstone’ s
Calcutta Nuvo counter tops keep the space bright and if you note the
different edging from before to after, it really shows a contemporary
update. A sleek eased edge instead of bullnose allows this design to
stay classic for many years. It really is the small details that can
make a space! Around the peninsula a waterfall counter top was installed
for a modern feel.
We chose a cool gray back splash tile from Merola. It’s called a
pillow tile in Gotham Gray color. The pillow effect offers a soft light
feeling to a wall space that can seem very two dimensional and flat.
Finally, the finishing touches in the space include hardware from Top Knobs and a Hansgrohe kitchen faucet and soap dispenser. These brushed nickel additions add sparkle, liveliness, and superior functionality for our clients.
Like the look we achieved here? Come in and speak with a designer today about a transitional renovation for either your kitchen or bathroom. We are here to design, supply, and install any and all your renovation needs.

A: Loving this kitchen renovation! Beautiful :)

**Q: Where can I buy that wallpaper?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Hi I am looking for a gold and blue wallpaper for my dining room, where can I buy that?

Thanks,
Daniela

A: You can give NY Woodstock a call at 631-940-9080 and they should be able to assist you with answering this question.

**Q: what fridge matches american range?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: While American range does not make a
refrigeration product we have found many customers go with Sub Zero, Viking or
Thermador refrigerators as they closely match the handle, the styling and the
commercial quality of the product.

**Q: How do I find out more info on this 30" double gas oven?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Specifically, how do you purchase one?

A: Hi Barbara,
Give one of our specialists a call and they can answer any questions you may have, phone \# 1-877-957-5377. Also, click here for a link to the model on our website. We offer no tax and free nationwide shipping.\*

Please let us know if you have any other questions. We thank you very much for your inquiry and look forward to hearing from you.
