> Extremely Disappointing Experience- Proceed with Caution!
> I had a very bad experience with this company. What started as a small project back in October 2024 is still unresolved as of now. The entire process has been unprofessional, with severe lack of customer service and accountability.
> They require full payment upfront, leaving customers with no recourse if the project isn’t properly and professionally done - which is exactly what happened in my case. The work lead to expensive personal damages, and never acknowledged responsibility and no meaningful resolution has been offered. They even fired an employee at the beginning of my project for unprofessional conduct, yet the issues persisted throughout.
> I am still dealing with the fallout and will continue to update this review as the situation unfolds. I’m sharing my story so that others can be warned and hopefully avoid a similar experience.
> Pictures to follow in my next post…

> We went to CT Stone to look at Flagstone and supplies. We received the most outstanding service possible. When the products were delivered the driver was extremely courteous and placed everything exactly as requested. I would recommend Connecticut Stone to anyone with a stone project. > I went to CT Stone with my architect and builder to select materials for an exterior renovation for my home. I was surprised by the massive selection of products they had all of which were made on premise including their ThinStone product. We tested the staff having to get custom cut stone for the archway around our front door and matching ThinStone for the exterior and chimney. We also ordered matching granite countertops for our exterior (stone) barbecue which required custom fabrication. Everyone I met was friendly, courteous and knowledgeable and they managed to complete our project on time. I would highly recommend CT Stone for breath of quality product and service.

**★★★★★ — Majestic Stone Corp, July 2018**

> Connecticut Stone has been supplying my company Majestic Stone with Authentic ThinStone as well as numerous other products in the Long Island market place for over 10 years. I deal with many stone suppliers and Connecticut Stone is a cut above the rest with a staff that is professional, courteous and extremely helpful. I would highly recommend them for anyone looking for interior or exterior stone, tile, marble or granite!

> Thank you for referring Patrick osabede as a tiler, he was so merticulous and we put in marble, with granite seat and shelves, I laid tile but I could of never of done the job he did, was so professional. We thank you, me and Maggie she loves it. He is the best.

**Comment from Connecticut Stone:**

> Thank you, Charles. We are so pleased to heard that you are happy with the final product. May you enjoy it for years to come!

**★ — Julians Interiors, June 2017**

> We used this company to provide stone for a kitchen and two bathrooms. They were extremely difficult to work with. They agreed to do the work then reneged on parts of the job halfway through the project. They were very inefficient, making the job more complicated than it needed to be, and making many more trips to the job site then was necessary. Their workmen wasted time on cell phones and the job took far longer than they said it would. We will never be using them again, and we would not recommend this company.

**Comment from Connecticut Stone:**

> Dear Julians Interiors,
> We at Connecticut Stone would like you to know how deeply concerned we are that you are unsatisfied with your experience with us. We are a company that takes great pride in the complete satisfaction of our many customers. We hear your frustration and understand that you were not completely satisfied with your experience with us and for this we are truly sorry.
> That being said, your project was very unusual in that we were asked to remove your old counters and repurpose them into new pieces for your project. While we realize that you were the end user, our contract for this project was with your builder and as such, all communication regarding the project went through him. At CT Stone, we work very hard to manage client expectations and to be open and transparent. When a request was made for us to try and remove stains from your old kitchen island top, we reviewed the information with our team and immediately advised that this work would be best performed by a restoration group. We then provided a name and contact for a reputable on site restoration company. Unfortunately, this information was not communicated to you which resulted in unnecessary frustration.
> With over 68 years in business, we believe that customer satisfaction is most important to our business. We take your feedback to heart. We remain committed to providing a level of customer service that exceeds our customer’s expectations and so we appreciate your feelings on this experience.

**★★★★ — Annette Avallone, Jan. 2016**

> I had a great experience with Connecticut Stone. The employees were skillful, well prepared and knowledgeable.. I had a small project but they still took the time to show me all my options. It was delivered and installed on time, answered any of my questions. CT stone has a large variety of indoor/outdoor stone, On site displays was a great help with making decisions. I would recommend anyone to visit them. Big or smallproject they will have what you need.

**★★★★★ — Clarity Home Interiors, Oct. 2015**

> Working with Connecticut Stone has been a real gift. I have had the privileged of working on several Interior Design projects with Connecticut Stone and each one has gone very well. I loved working on the material selections for the bathrooms, kitchens, mudrooms, floors, and speciality areas with their great team of designers. Connecticut Stone's project management team is excellent and they were always there to problem solve and offer solutions when anything unexpected happened. I would highly recommend Connecticut Stone for projects including the exterior and interior stone and tile work. The showroom is a great place to take clients or for clients to browse through their endless samples and get great ideas for their own projects.

**Comment from Connecticut Stone:**

> Thank you so much Amy Zolin and Clarity Home Interiors. We are always delighted to work with you and your team. Your work is incredible and we are always beyond thrilled with the results. Thank you for your kind review!

> BUYER BEWARE!!! I purchased some Akdo tiles from Connecticut Stone for a client. The client was not happy with them when she got them (They were however still boxed and not damaged). After weeks of calling Marissa to get her to accept a return and having her ignore the calls, I finally made contact with Liz who said she would accept the return and then proceeded to continue this lack of communication with supposed emails that were sent to the wrong address. When I gave her the corrected address (which they had when they wanted to take money for the purchase) she claimed she could no longer accept the return as too much time had passed by. I was calling her every 2 days at this time - she was just ignoring my calls. The place is a joke. Their customer service is non existent. FYI - This was not a custom item. And not only did Liz not accept the item but she emailed Akdo telling them lies about the status of the return (which Akdo copied to me) - unbelievably unprofessional conduct for a company that should be so much better. BUYER BEWARE!!!

**Comment from Connecticut Stone:**

> I would like to start with expressing our collective apologizes that your experience with Connecticut Stone was anything but stellar. We pride ourselves on our customer service and are displeased if we hear anything otherwise.
>
> Regarding your particular experience, I have looked into it from each perspective – yours, ours and AKDO’s - and I believe I have a few answers for you. First, I would like to remind you that your order placed with us was in fact a special custom order. It is not a custom order to AKDO because it is AKDO’s product and they do not sell to the public, however, it is a custom order to Connecticut Stone because what you selected was not part of what we normally carry stock. In addition, it was also a rush - and our sales team gladly accommodated your rush to get you what you needed on time. Our policy of no custom returns was clearly stated on the agreement you signed, however, we will, this time take your return in an effort of our good faith, professionalism and in hopes of re-establishing your confidence in our team and our services. Please contact me at 203-776-1323 to discuss the details of your return at your earliest convenience.

> Our experience with Connecticut Stone was exceptional. Brie and her staff directed us to the perfect piece of marble for our kitchen.
> CT Stone's communication, attention to detail, and thoughtfulness were superior.
> Jason, and his staff of installers were wonderful. We were very impressed with the level of expertise, including a follow up visit and assurance of our contentment with the project.
> Our beautiful stone is the highlight of our kitchen!

**★★★★★ — rydilluc, Aug. 2015**

> Tyra and her team are great to work with. As a high end builder in Greenwich and Darien Ct I need quality materials and Ct Stone provides, not only that quality material, but the staff to install it on a timely professional manner. Tyra also helps me with the design and layout of the tile in my bathrooms and kitchens. Not only does she know what is she trending- she usually knows what products to use before they become popular. When I sell a home that is between $4 and $5 million dollars, people expect the best and Ct Stone provides that in the material and design in their product.

**★★★★★ — jiggymace, July 2015**

> I highly recommend CT Stone. i absolutely love my marble countertops. They had the best selection of stone around. From the beginning to the end of the process CT Stone came through and made the kitchen of my dreams. Everyone was professional and nice and made sure the job was done with the highest standards. Thank you CT Stone!
