> I asked Stephen to come to my home and give me some ideas for color and furniture arrangement. He was wonderful to work with and gave me some great ideas. He was very professional while being very easy to deal with. I plan on using Stephen in the future for my additional projects.

**★★★★★ — Rebecca Marion, May 2017**

> Stephen was great and helped me choose paint colors for my home remodel. Also we talked about tile choice and some wallpaper. Nice and punctual, came with ideas and listened to mine.

**★★★★★ — Lauren Parker, April 2017**

> Stephen is great! I have worked with him for about a year on interior projects related to our 100 yr old historical home in North Carolina. Stephen is very easy to communicate with - paying specific attention to my budget and family pieces that we want to work with and around. He has an excellent eye for color - pushes me to think outside of my comfort zone, while also allowing me to stay true to my style.

> I have known Stephen Dooley of Gradient Interiors since 2013. First experience was a project remodel of 17 y/o home, entire first floor, approximately 2000 square feet Included a new kitchen (cabinets, new layout , widows paint colors, new masterbath and bedroom , living room, dining and entry. It turned out beautiful and decoratively was as I wanted and transitional. Stephen did an excellent jib working with construction company and their kitchen and bath designer. He was always receptive to my ideas.

> The second project is an 1860s row house in the Historic District of Savannah, Georgia. It was a complete remodel and required gutting of the row house on the interior. His work involved: plan for remodeling and decorating the entire home. There are 3 full baths, two bedrooms, Parlor, library, kitchenette, full kitchen and keeping room. Where possible historic elements were kept. He worked with the builder with his ideas. I liked how well the three of us worked together. I had ideas I really liked and together we got a mix of 19th through 20th c. design elements and a very transitional finished project. The entire home is 2000 sf. Project completed in just under 1.5 years. The project costs were around $200,000,

> Stephen provided consultation when I moved from a modern downtown condo into charming 1920 era co-op with exposed brick walls and many original fixtures. He was able to help me merge my love of mid-century and contemporary pieces with the new space and gave advice on new pieces to help bridge the gap. Stephen was great about working within my budget and providing inspiration from a variety of places.

> Stephen was extremely easy to work with and had great ideas. He was very honest about what styles would fit with our home and gave us several options when we were undecided. I liked how he explained the designs and his rationale for choosing certain pieces. He even helped us assemble some of the furniture. Our home looks amazing! We've had a lot of positive comments on the way our home is furnished. I would definitely use Gradient Interior Design again in the future and would highly recommend Stephen's services.

  - Description: This 1956 Ranch in the Beacon Hill neighborhood of Seattle needed an update. With a simple floor plan, what was needed was some new finishes and a modern layout. Out went wall to wall beige carpet and Gradient Interiors brought in an updated Mid-century decor with texture and pops of color that aren't too retro. More images to come.

## Community Q&A

**Q: love this concept** *(in Photo Questions)*

where can I find this bed?

A: It is called the Kura, and is reversible, so it may look a bit different. 802.538.14 is the code.

**Q: Beautiful room. Can you please share the source and make of the sofas** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Sure. Those are West Elm Tillary Sofas. 2 platforms, 2 standard backs and one corner back. That way they are also sleeping surfaces.

**Q: What paint color are the windows? Lovely...** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: It is Benjamin Moore's Burnt Ember. We used the color all through the house and contrasted it with Benjamin Moore's Collingwood. Thanks for asking!
