> I unfortunately did not have a good experience with Solid Architectural Design.  I purchased a place designed by the president/owner, Owen Beard, and although I had a signed agreement from the purchase and 1 year developer agreement, Owen did not respond to me by email or phone from the day I closed.  His general contractor did address some items in the townhouses (4 in total) as we had some serious issues, but things that Owen had agreed to in our signed agreements were not addressed.  General contractor referred me to Owen who did not pick up a phone call or respond to email for the last year.  I am disappointed as there were things to be addressed and I'm not a realtor, so guess he figured I was an easy target for cutting corners.  The designs are cool looking, but the details and construction are lacking … lots of corners cut and poor design.  I'm detail oriented and have quality expectations.  I also left review on other websites (as did others on poor quality) and he has family members leaving 5\* reviews to offset the poor reviews.  I'm still open to items being fixed, but at a year now my expectations are low.  My townhouse purchased was part of a 2031 exchange and so was in a corner to close before all inspection items completed.

> Owen's work is progressive, innovative and stunning.  I first met him on the Stuart property and found his attention to detail refreshing.  Then a year or so later I had the pleasure of working with him again.  My personal taste lean traditional, yet Owen's passion for his design work helped me appreciate a more modern approach.  I highly recommend Owen to clients who can appreciate his fresh approach to form, function, and structure.
