Your source for authentic street banners from art museums. With BetterWall, you get a unique, dramatic work of art to display in your home.

All of BetterWall's beautiful banners are the real McCoy! They have been displayed on streetlamp posts and museum facades in cities across the country. Made of vinyl or heavy-weight canvas, the banners are well-equipped to withstand outdoor display.

All banners are in excellent condition with no rips, tears, fading or large blemishes. Minor surface blemishes or other slight signs of wear do not detract from the beauty of the images and add to the banners' value and authentic charm. Some banners have wind-slits, small half-moon shaped cuts that allow the banners to withstand high wind without ripping.

All banners are carefully cleaned and stored in keeping with appropriate archival protocol. Each banner comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Remember, when you purchase a banner through BetterWall, a percentage of the proceeds goes back to the museum. Do your part to advance good design, support the arts, and make a statement that makes a difference!

> We purchased one banner, so far, and we have to say that it is still unique, beautiful and something we enjoy looking at everyday. Visitors to our home always comment how much they like our banner and how different it is than other artwork. Betterwall is a friendly professional company.

> We have several of these banners and they are both interesting and beautiful. They are works of art in their own right; the colors are vivid and the sizes are impressive. We chose banners from among artists and works we like or museums we have visited, and they give each space a unique look that never fails to elicit compliments. The staff at Betterwall are committed to the preservation and distribution of these unique pieces of public art and have been very helpful over the years as we have acquired ours.

> I have purchased 2 banners from Better Wall and couldn't be more pleased. The quality of the banners was excellent, the hardware enclosed worked well and I can't tell you how many compliments I get on them. They are so unusual and really look awesome. I highly recommend this product.

> Recently relocated to San Francisco and faced with a sterile apartment (spectacular views, which this city abounds in, but sterile nonetheless) I turned to BetterWall transform a rental apartment into a home. What better way to begin feeling at home than supporting a local art museum (in the is case, the DeYoung Museum). I purchased the banner for their Vermeer exhibition and suddenly the guest bedroom in which it looms large was transformed. The banner is both an homage to the city and certainly to the painter. When we return to the East Coast it will find a place of honor in the courtyard (on the loggia) of our rural retreat in Massachusetts. The banner, certainly well fabricated and durable, arrived remarkably well-packaged and with necessary hanging hardware. Its dimensions are such that it is a definite (and welcome) presence in a room, and the larger-than-life scale transforms an institution's program announcement banner into a work of art in its own right. This is a brilliant recycling of street art and allows one who has admired the banner in its original streetscape installation to continue to enjoy the graphic design. Was it a good purchase? Priceless. BetterWall is a responsible company, easy to deal with, and doing its part to make art accessible and enjoyable to all. If we had less glass and more walls, I'd be perusing BetterWall's selection right now.

> BetterWall is a great company that re-uses Museum Banners, has a wide selection of images, and helps support the museums. The banners arrive in excellent condition, clean, and packaged neatly with hanging materials. They provide a big visual bang for a good price. I have a total of nine banners that I rotate on my office wall (see BetterWall's Denver, Home Office project). As my clients step into this space, they always check to see which banner is hanging, and respond with curiosity, appreciation, and enjoyment.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Is it signed?** *(in Product Questions)*

A: We have only one banner signed by an artist. That is a Jamie Wyeth banner that is only available directly on our website. https://betterwall.com/products/jamie-wyeth-signed-kleberg

**Q: wyeth/denver art museum** *(in Product Questions)*

hi- what is the sixe of the banner- is it identical on both sides. Is it in new or mint condition- or was it hanging outside? thank you in advance.

A: Hi,
The banner is 30" W x 89" H. It is the same on both sides. It did hang outside for the duration of the exhibit but they are still in near perfect condition and we clean them throughly before shipping. Let me know if you have any other questions. Best, Amy

**Q: Photos?** *(in Product Questions)*

Hello, I'm really interested in buying one of the vinyl Chuck Close banners but want to hang it in my house and I'm unsure about glare and print quality. Do you have any close up photos you can post or send me? Thanks.

A: Hi,
Thanks for your interest in our museum banners. Because Houzz encourages high res photos on their website, we're reshooting many of our banners and will take one of the Chuck Close in the next couple days. I'll post it here so you can see it up close or if you email me at info@betterwall.com I can send you the photo. In fact, Chuck Close himself has one of these banners hanging in his studio in NYC.
Regards,
Nicolas

**Q: 2 story living room walls** *(in Design Dilemma)*

How should I decorate my large wall space in this two- story living room?? This is how the living looked before we bought our new house-not our furniture or wall color choices! We plan to paint the sage green walls something really light, either something creamy almost white with no yellow or pink, or a very light grey. I don't like the look of 'things' on that ledge, and am wondering if I should hang a large rectangular mirror horizontally over where the couch is, then some large art above it over the ledge. I do have a round wood carving from homegoods that it white that I assume would look good where this brown one hangs. We currently have a tan fabric 3 seat sectional plus an attached (your right hand side) chaise that hits at the french door panel, coffee table in same place, loveseat in same place on left, and a tv stand in the same place the armoire is in this picture. Thanks!

A: ejdancer: I think you've got the right idea to paint the wall a lighter color, as it will lessen the severeness of the ledge. I agree that placing objects on the ledge is not ideal (it's a dated look): it presents a schizophrenic situation for the person in the room: do I focus up or down?
Ideally, I would look to remove the soffit in the living space. Since you're repainting, you're not going to incur that much more work removing the soffit and it doesn't seem from your photos to have electrical or HVAC in it. Then you'll have one large wall in the living area, which will separate it visually from the rest of the larger room.
If removing the soffit isn't in the cards, then I wouldn't put anything on the wall above the soffit.

**Q: warm contemporary living room help needed** *(in Design Dilemma)*

A: Hi oana\_yasmin28 - You've got some nice items in your room, but I think you're getting discouraged because almost every item layers on the same color palette of muted browns and greys. You've got to break the habit of adding things that feel the same. In looking at your photos, the one item that stands out is the red painting over the dresser. It brings in brightness and interest.
I don't think it's the arrangement that's the problem but rather you could make some seemingly small, yet significant additions that could make a big difference. I'd first start with new throw pillows. You have a nice grey sectional -- try a variety of colors like coral, yellow, and greys together. Next I'd look at adding some more interesting things to the walls. Take down the framed mirrors (they're nice, but they add to the drab look) over the buffet, and add a more contemporary piece of art or reproduction. Try going vertically rather than horizontally with this piece. This will draw the eye off the floor and the carpet.
After you've done these changes, you can phase in new things over time, such as re-covering your dining chairs with a more interesting fabric.
Lastly, I'd move the large leafy plant to another room. It's a bit too "messy", and the other two are in keeping with a contemporary and clean design.
Good luck! :)

**Q: Would love to purchase the sold out item below ...** *(in Product Questions)*
