Whether the finish of these woods were stained, natural or painted, the quality of the finish was that of high end furniture. Ammon listened to my ideas and then came up with a design that both worked and was what my wife and I wanted that looks beautiful in our new home. I don't think you will find a better custom cabinet builder in the area. I asked him if he could build a set of sliding doors to cover an opening between rooms; he supplied the hardware and glass for this project to meet my needs, whereas others could not. He was extremely neat while working in the house leaving nothing behind to be cleaned up afterwards. He was always courteous, kind to listen and helpful wherever he could in completing this project, whether or not it was his part of the project or the original builder's work to complete or compensate for. Are they granite? Thanks! A: The cabinets are custom made by us ACC Cabinetry here in Virginia and the counter tops are black soap stone. Hope that helps. **Q: Please help! Gaps in kitchen cabinetry.** *(in Design Dilemma)* I am really upset. Our Medallion white cabinets have been installed and these are some of the gaps and finishing nail marks. How can the stick of wax they give you cover up all of this? I am considering having the gaps and holes filled in with putty and having the entire cabinetry re painted. That means we will have to paint over the factory finish. Any advice is appreciated. A: Installing pre-lacquered white moulding is never easy and installers rarely get enough extra moulding to make every joint prefect. Especially when cabinets are ordered by the home owners or box store designers. You all are being extremely harsh on this installer. Yes he should have set the nail holes and filed both the holes and joints with wax.
