### Reviews

**★★★★★ — Philip Lai, Oct. 2020**

> I retained Corefront as the General Contractor to manage a major renovation work for my house - interior for the entire main floor; exterior for stucco siding, concrete work on both sides of the house, roofing modifications, etc. I also retained a 3rd-party house designer separately.
> As the project owner myself, I worked closely with Corefront and the designer, forming an excellent working relationship among the three of us, throughout all stages of design, demolition, construction, finishing, owner acceptance, and post-construction follow-up.
> The project outcome speaks for itself - my wife and I are elated with the finished product that provides us with a pleasing living environment, in a highly functional and efficient setting.
> My key interface with Corefront - Marcus (GM), Ryan Haynes (site supervisor) and his assistant Ryan Macniell. I spent most the time with Ryan Haynes primarily due to worksite requirements - all three were professional in their demeanour and certainly experienced and knowledgable in their respective fields.
> Overall, I find the Corefront construction methodology and execution were outstanding - the overall budget that I had approved at the outset of the project turned out to be right on the money.
> I highly recommend Confront for this type of renovation work.

> We hired Corefront to complete our basement renovation. They worked with us to ensure they knew what we wanted and they delivered. They worked within our budget and kept us up to date at all times. There were a few concerns and surprises but these were dealt with quickly and professionally, and resolved to our satisfaction. I definitely recommend Corefront for any renovation projects.

**Comment from Corefront Custom Homes & Renovations:**

> We went to the Calgary Home Expo and got info from Corefront. They came by and gave us an estimate. We felt they listened to us and we liked their recommendations. They worked within our budget and we are very pleased with the end result. We feel like we have a new home and love it.

**Comment from Corefront Custom Homes & Renovations:**

> Thank-you Kim! We were thrilled to help create a new home for you!

**★★★★★ — Sue Stelck, May 2017**

> Corefront did two separate renovation projects for us. The first was a renovation to most of the interior of our house, including the kitchen, bathrooms, and bedroom. About 2 years later we had Corefront remove our old enclosed front porch and replace it with a new, heated front porch. Our house is about 100 years old, and thus had many challenges including lath and plaster walls and major structural issues. The house is now so beautiful. The designer affiliated with Corefront, Jaime Holland, also did a wonderful job. Corefront was very responsive to our desires to maintain the character of the home, and installed true antique doorknobs, heating grates and other fixtures. I was very sad to have to remove the old sagging, unheated front porch because I still loved its character. Now, I'm happy to say we have a beautiful front porch, which still has character and we can enjoy it year round. The quality of the workmanship was very good.

**Comment from Corefront Custom Homes & Renovations:**

> Thank-you Sue! We were so thrilled to asked us to build your porch after renovating your beautiful kitchen.

**★★★★ — Bernard R, Feb. 2016**

> We recently had the main floor of our late 50’s bungalow gutted and redone and are thrilled with the result. We looked into a number of contractors and selected Corefront based on reputation and the contractor billing model they use. Throughout the 4-1/2 month process we always felt comfortable with the management of contracts and progress payment to the trades.
> Corefront strongly supported our desire to stay within a budget and we came in slightly below that number. This said, it was critical to stay involved with the planning and execution, watching for potential quality issues and being available to get quick resolution of questions and concerns. We would recommend them.

**Comment from Corefront Custom Homes & Renovations:**

> Thank Bernard and Janet! We were thrilled to help turn your dreams for your home into a reality! The kitchen and home looks amazing. http://www.houzz.com/projects/1650381/northmount-renovation

> We work with Corefront as a supplier of custom cabinetry for their home renovation projects. We have worked with many contractors and remodelers over the years, and Corefront stands out as one of the best. They are exceedingly professional in everything they do, their projects are well-organized, and jobsites are kept impeccably clean. Most importantly they share our commitment to quality and customer service, which results in happy clients and a finished product that we can all be proud of.

> Corefronts business plan in dealing with contractors and the home owner we felt worked very well for us. Payments were not needed until the work was done satisfactorily. Our meetings with Lewis Cowie always went really well and we liked where Corefront were the people to make sure all things were completed properly by the contractors. Russ @ Linda

**Comment from Corefront Custom Homes & Renovations:**

> Thank-you Linda! It was a pleasure being a part in the transformation of your home.

> Corefront managed our project (kitchen & dining room renovation plus bootroom addition) very professionally and maintained good clear lines of communication throughout the project. The upfront planning was extensive and included working with a designer (at an extra cost) which took a number of months. During construction, the site supervisor and contractors took the time to insure things were done properly and asked for clarification before tackling the trickier jobs. Several suggestions were offered by the site supervisor and his senior contractor that made a tremendous positive impact on the final outcome, for example: while it looked okay on the plans, the refridgerator we selected was too big and would have resulted in very poor kitchen traffic flow, as a result of this advise we were able to change our appliance selection and are very happy with the decision; they recommended that while the walls and floor were open, we replace older grey PVC water lines, which have a history of failure, saving potential expensive repairs in the future; and, provided a solution to the somewhat problematic installation of exterior steps. The only critisim I can offer would be the length of time it took to do the project, four months; demolition was done before Christmas, then nothing happened until late January, this added an unnecessy month of disruption. We are happy with the quality of the work, the care and craftmanship that went into doing it right. The finished product is really quite beautiful. I would recommend Corefront without hesitation.

> Met our expectations and more. Communicated at least weekly with current progress . Respectful to the fact a family of 5 lived in the house during the reno project. Listened to us and obliged us when we made changes to our plans throughtout the project. Very kind, considerate and insightful professionals that promoted the concept that they would do anything to make our home become the vision we had.

**Comment from Corefront Custom Homes & Renovations:**

> Corefront did a superb job for us on our basement, master bedroom closet and ensuite, laundry room, kitchen lighting and sewing room renos. Our house was built in 2005; we took possession and commenced renos in July, 2010. From initial discussions to completion, the project took 6 months. We liaised with Joe Cowie initially (I had not used Corefront before, and chose him after receiving a direct mail flyer; we did not obtain quotes from other contractors, as my wife and I felt comfortable with Joe), and were immediately impressed with his professionalism, knowledge and good nature. Those traits were prevalent in all the folks we interacted with at Corefront, from the designers who made sure our ideas were incorporated (and plans altered a couple of times when we changed our minds on a few things), to the trades people who did the work. I have recommended them to acquaintances -- I would not have done so if I wasn't happy with the process and results. They were on budget and schedule. The workmanship is top-notch. We felt like a true partnership throughout the renos. We had a very minor issue with the caulking in our ensuite sink about 2 months after the project was completed (not an uncommon issue), and all it took was one phone call to Brent Cowie. The very next day, one of their guys was at our house and fixed the issue!
