> From the first encounter with the salesman Brian Shonebarger thru to be installation by Joon & his team, Windows on Washington was an absolute pleasure to deal with. All of the positive reviews that I saw prior to calling them were spot on!
>
> Their price is excellent, the quality of their windows are also excellent. I went the extra step of researching the manufacturers of various companies and Okno (the manufacturer that WoW uses) is way better than other manufacturers.
>
> The windows look great, open and close easily and we are so happy. Now hopefully, our home will be cooler in summer and warmer in winter.
>
> We fully endorse & recommend Wow. You will say WoW!

**★★★★★ — Arlen McCorkle, Jan. 2019**

> Got 4 windows done, the whole project went very smoothly even though they came with the incorrect number of grids the first time. The WoW team communicated very well the whole time and was on top of everything. Everything from the estimate to the installation was simple and fluid.

**Comment from Windows on Washington Ltd:**

> Thank you for your feedback. We do make mistakes from time to time, but we hope that how we resolve them says more about the company than the projects that go perfectly. Thank you again.

> My experience with Windows on Washington and specifically Eric Novotny was the most professional I have ever had with a contractor. Eric replied to a request for quotation / consultation that I put on houzz for some repairs I needed to my home's windows and ended up spending time with me via phone, text and email exchange to make sure I knew where to go to get the parts I needed and receive instructions on what turned out to be very minor repairs. He did this all free of charge. Eric never tried to sell me anything and followed-up with me as if I were his top customer. I would definitely recommend Windows on Washington for any windows replacement or repair project you may have.
>
> Thank you Eric

**★★★★★ — toddinmn, July 2016**

> Eric is a pros' pro. When I need advice this is who I call. Always willing to help ,great products, state of art install techniques, always looking to up his game.

**★★★★★ — Szara Loring, April 2016**

> Eric from Windows on Washington is obviously very passionate about windows. I posted on the Home Forums about a window replacement project that I need to have done. Even though he is not in my area he responded quickly and even ended up calling and talking me through the things that needed to be corrected when my windows are replaced. He provided a layman's education on what to look for in my project proposals and how to verify that a window has been properly installed.
>
> Really appreciated! I wish you were closer and could do this project for us!

**Comment from Windows on Washington Ltd:**

> Thanks for the feedback. Stucco installs are tricky and you have a pretty big project in front of you. Keep us posted how it goes and be sure to post up some before and after photos. I am sure it is going to turn out great between your careful and engineering approach.

> Windows on Washington did a great job providing background on all of the window options describing the positives and negatives of each. They installed 5 windows on our house and overall they did an excellent job. The only negative is that there were two weather delays which being due to winter is understandable, and the price was pretty expensive. But, I figure you have to pay a lot for quality and although it has only been a month, it seems to be worth it.

**★★★★★ — Loren Hudziak, Sept. 2015**

> I have used WoW several times, including window replacement and garage door replacement. The quality of their work is exceptional and their staff is responsive, fair, friendly and knowledgable.

**★★★★★ — millworkman, Aug. 2015**

> I have known Windows on Washington approximately 4 or 5 years now and have found him to be a wealth of knowledge. He is a true professional and were he in my area I would use his services and highly recommend his company to others.

**★★★★★ — HomeSealed Exteriors, LLC, July 2015**

> I have worked with Windows on Washington on multiple occasions, and cannot recommend them more highly. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, products offered are top performers, and customer service is fantastic. Excellent company.

**★★★★★ — Jill, May 2014**

> We worked with Windows on Washington to replace the full floor to ceiling windows on the front of our 1950s era house. It was a huge job, and they had a lot of patience as I tried to decide a new'ish configuration for the new windows, as the openings were huge and we could have done anything imaginable. We went with fiberglass windows (as opposed to vinyl) for the structural strength. The house looks completely different. We went from old, ugly brown aluminum windows to fresh, almond color beautiful windows. They were easy to work with. The install crew works directly for the company, and are really great at what they do. Construction like this is an art, and they are great at it. They had to be creative as they pulled out the old windows down to the brick (with a huge opening in the front of our house for a bit!) and were skilled enough to find solutions when our older house didn't come as expected for certain issues. They really are fantastic. We shopped around, did our research, and found that these guys know the most about windows and what works. The summer after we had them installed, the house was much cooler because of these much MUCH improved windows.

**★★★★★ — bekittay, March 2014**

> WoW replaced three exterior garden doors, in the front of my home. They were the most reasonable bid, and negotiated with me appropriately (another, very popular company, always starts at twice the number they really will accept, making me fight with them like I'm buying a used car). WoW gave me a good price, matched the exterior color PERFECTLY (this is a condo!), and installed the doors very professionally. An error from the manufacturer was handled (i.e., corrected) gracefully, and in the end, my foyer is MUCH warmer and prettier. I am very, very happy with my new doors.

**★★★★★ — Angie M, March 2014**

> I used Windows on Washington for replacement windows on my townhouse. The new windows are perfect, they look great, the installation was fast and the crew did a wonderful job. The President of the company visited us following the job and I couldn't be more pleased with the customer service, attention to detail, and overall knowledge of everyone involved in our project.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Window dilemma white vs black** *(in Polls)*

Replacing all windows and doors with Anlin for the whole house. Would white windows and slider work, in our living/dining room? Current is black/bronze. It's going to be an expensive replacement and black color has an upcharge. Leaning towards white save the upchare towards the kitchen reno. Thoughts?

A: How much more are the black windows? Generally speaking, that option, as a line item adder on the price, isn't super punitive.

**Q: I need some help choosing exterior colour and window** *(in Polls)*

I am having a hard time choosing window colour. I lean transitional, I don’t like the modern farmhouse look. I am nervous about that with the black. My contractor has bought black shingles for the roof already. Which is best ?

A: While I think the "black windows trend" is overused and way too much a flash in the pan thing....I do think that color combo looks best of the 3 pictured here.

**Q: Hartford Green Pella Sliding Patio Door** *(in Windows)*

we need to replace a Hartford Green Pella aluminum clad wood sliding door. We are in an HOA so we need to match the color, but the price of the Pella door is astronomical. Does anyone have any recommendations of manufacturers who have the same color?

A: In a clad door, you'll be stuck with Pella. If you go with another non clad (i.e. vinyl or fiberglass) you can have it painted to match any color.

**Q: Window replacement Houston area** *(in Windows)*

We are replacing our windows - 38 in total. The rear of our home faces nearly due west and in the Houston heat takes a beating most of the year so we need high efficiency and highly durable windows. Wanted to go with Don Young series 8200 aluminum but we want black on the outside and white inside and DY does not offer dual color options. We are now considering Quaker Insights AL and Marvin Essential, as they both appear to offer dual color options. But both will be more costly than DY. Would greatly appappreciate any feedback or input on these two options.

A: Split finishes are not the norm of available options in thermally broken aluminum. You're going to need to look at either a vinyl product, composite, or wood.

**Q: Marvin Elevate Windows** *(in Polls)*

We just competed our new home near Bloomington, Indiana and utilized the fiberglass exterior/wood interior Marvin Elevate windows throughout. Here are a few photos to share. We were really happy with the window finish on both exterior and interior (black/black).

A: Looks great. Congrats.

**Q: hdudieheieosndvdhskama sh** *(in Windows)*

would like the second-floor windows to be designed as one continuous full-width window across the entire floor, divided into three sections but visually connected as a single unit.
For the third floor, I would like standard regular windows.

A: You're gonna need some engineering that one. We'd call that "slightly" load bearing in this case.
