I can also draw up floor plans and elevations for remodel jobs, custom cabinets, built-ins etc. for you to give to your contractor to expedite and simplify communications, or for your own use for materials and product shopping.

My 30 years of experience started with a remodeling business partnered with my husband, Right Way Design To Finish, in Ithaca NY area. I designed kitchens and baths, and provided decorating services. In our "spare" time we were flipping fixer uppers. I bring more to the table than just a decorators eye, I also have hands-on experience in the building trades as well. So I'm able to suggest solutions and products that best suit your needs, narrowing down the sea of options helping you save time and money.

> Highly recommend!! I bought a house in 2019 with large gardens and a weird front exterior set up. The gardens were overwhelming and unmanageable and the front door entrance was awkward due to a front deck that was oddly built and needed replacing. My husband and I were planning on rebuilding the deck but didn’t have an idea of how to make it better. Jessica heard my concerns and thought through a garden design that would look cohesive to the house but also manageable for me take care of. For the entry she asked some simple questions about the usage of our front deck and recommend a design for a smaller deck that would be less expensive to build and make the entrance more noticeable and elevated. I really appreciated the time Jessica took to look at my front landscaping and house, listen to my ideas, concerns and lifestyle, to design something beautiful and manageable while also considering the affordability of the changes. She was able to walk through the few rooms that I wanted to improve and pinpoint exactly what was wrong and how to fix it while using what I already have. > We recently did a kitchen remodel that had been in the works for almost a year. We needed help figuring out the best configuration for our space, as well as help picking out the many items we needed to select. We know what we like; but knowing what would match and bring out the best in our new space was a challenge. We talked about hiring a decorator, but it was an intimidating thought, not only for cost but, well, we just didn't think of ourselves as the kind of people who hire a decorator. My husband and I separately went on Houzz and both found Jessica independently. That told us she was probably right for us. And she was. She is very down-to-earth, friendly, easy to talk to and not at all intimidating.  She offered us as much or as little of her input as we wanted. She recognized we were on a budget and helped us use her time wisely. And it was money well-spent. She helped us put the finishing touches on our layout, which was a bit challenging due to our space constraints and helped us pick out major items. Sometimes she led our decision and sometimes she confirmed what we already liked. Either way, it was a huge help and comfort to know that our new kitchen and dining area would really look great. She also did a design for an additional space we hope to turn into a mudroom. Overall it was a great experience and I have recommended her to several friends also going through remodels. If you need some design help, no matter what your project, I highly recommend Jessica.
