> Aquatica is a completely unprofessional and totally incompetent organization. They deserve zero stars.
>
> Choosing them became one of the worst decisions of my life, as I have been living a nightmare for 2 years. If you make the tragic mistake of choosing them, here is what to expect:
>
> \* Your project manager will have at least 75 other projects he is dealing with, you will not matter to them, and expect to be ignored for months at a time.
> \* The workers they use are of the lowest quality, they do not speak English, and no supervisors will ever be on site to monitor.
> \* Their quality of work is an F, they take no pride in what they do, they just try to finish the work as quickly and cheaply as possible.
> \* My paver patio, my retaining wall, the pool tile, and my equipment stand all were constructed so poorly that they all had to be demoed and rebuilt multiple times so expect major delays. I am a full 18 months past the agreed completion time and I still do not have a pool permit.
> \* They do not install products using manufacturers guidelines, this will void your warranties.
> \* They do not use engineered plans, they cut all corners and eyeball everything.
> \* My project looks so bad, not one part of it has met my expectations. It's made me hate the place I live and make me want to move. Unfortunately, the work they did was sub standard and not to code, so my home won't pass inspection and I can't sell.
> \* The Town of Mount Pleasant is so fed up that Aquatica has so many unfinished projects in town and there is talk that they are going to stop allowing them to build in town.
>
> The ownership is the absolute worst part. I have had 5 project managers because every decent employee has left the company. A major issue was that they built my retaining wall without a footer, instead of a foundation, they just poured concrete in a ditch and called it a retaining wall. After hiring lawyers and a structural engineer to inspect, the owner, Thiago Silva, finally came on site to check out the disaster. He was incredibly confrontational and aggressive, he tried to intimidate me, and he told me on video, 'this is how they build all retaining walls," meaning not one they ever constructed was built to code. I have reached out to ownership at least a dozen times and was completely ignored. I finally got him on the phone and he immediately hung up on me. It's no surprise this company in chaos as their ownership is completely unprofessional.
>
> Please do not make my mistake, choose a legitimate company, don't put yourself through the agony.

> Good morning, I just wanted to let you know about our pool technician Josh, who is awesome!
>
> Every time I get to speak with Josh when he's on the property he is pleasant and always, I mean always does a good job. He explains everything he is doing for our pool and always asks me if I have any additional questions for him.
>
> I just wanted to let you and the Aquatica Pool team know what a great job Josh has been doing taking care of our pool!
>
> Great job Josh! Keep up the good work!
>

> Worst contractor I've ever dealt with. Very responsive and accommodating until the contract was signed. I’m allowed only 3000 characters here so providing details for all the problems is impossible. If I had not been on site during most of the activities, the pool would not have been built nor the equipment installed as agreed. If I had not personally done some work nor hired another contractor to do work within their scope that their personnel refused to do, the project would have been delayed (I was reimbursed for the contractor’s work). The plaster was completed eight weeks ago (this is when they consider the pool completed). I met with the project manager almost seven weeks ago and we developed an agreed upon punch list. I have been in contact with the PM a few times a week since then and we were progressing albeit slowly. I made the final payment on the contract two weeks ago. I texted the PM a week ago (a Friday) for an update. He informed me it was his last day with Aquatica. He provided me his replacement’s contact information. I texted the new PM on Monday with no replay. I called him Tuesday and left a voicemail. He called me back 10 minutes later and was obviously unfamiliar with my project. I asked him to review the project status and call me back with an update. I called him again both Wednesday and Thursday and left voicemails. I called the main office on Friday (yesterday) and asked to speak to the individual I had been told a month ago was the Sr PM. I was informed he was no longer with Aquatica. I was told the new Sr PM was in a meeting. They would leave him a message and he would call me back after his meeting. He did not call. Most of the remaining punch list items are relatively minor. Two are not. My stair and ladder handrails have not been installed and I have a small area with no plaster – the gunite is visible. Basically, the project has been a nightmare and they have done nothing since I made the final payment.

> Very poor experience. multiple issues not dealt with correctly. including installing a boiler in a hazerdous location with no venting, instructing me to connect the autofil to a irrigation pipe causing a flood, providing incorrect tiles, mis measuring tiles, not delivering contracted items. Leaving me with an unsuable fire pit that is constantly full of stagnant water as there was no drain installed. I have had to constantly chase this company to rectify these faults. The Fire Pit is now just a hole in the ground with constant stagnent water and a breeding ground for mosquitos. it is complelety unusable.
>
> Do not use this company

> Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear about your continued dissatisfaction. This is the third review you've shared, and we've made several attempts to resolve the issues with you. We are sorry that we have not been able to come to an agreement on the issue.

> We are first time pool owners. Wes in Design, Chestley and Daniel in construction, and the hard working trade professionals brought on site all did excellent work creating a dream pool and patio space. There were no major delays, every detail was attended to and our choices were followed exactly as planned. A sub contractor did make one mistake which was quickly corrected by working with Chestley and Daniel. The final inspection took 5 minutes because the inspector recognized the work Aquatica is known for.
> In the beginning our design team told us that Aquatica would not be the cheapest contractor, but they would be the best, an honest and accurate statement!

**Comment from Aquatica Pools & Spas:**

> Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We're thrilled to hear that your first pool ownership experience was a dream come true. It's great to know that Wes, Chestley, Daniel, and our trade professionals exceeded your expectations and delivered the quality work we're known for. We're glad we could quickly resolve the minor issue that arose, and it's fantastic to hear that the final inspection went so smoothly. Thank you for trusting Aquatica to bring your vision to life—we're proud to have been part of your project!

**★★★★★ — Scott Franklin, Dec. 2023**

> Excellent experience. Love the pool. Entire Aquatica team was very responsive and helpful with advice and decisions during the build. Caleb as the Project Manager was great to work with and very responsive. Highly recommend Aquatic and would definitely use again.

**Comment from Aquatica Pools & Spas:**

> Thank you for sharing your experience! We're thrilled that you love your pool and that our team, especially Caleb, provided excellent support throughout the process. We appreciate your recommendation and look forward to working with you again in the future!

> Our initial pool design phase with Ben went fine. He promised that although the pool was going to be constructed while our house was undergoing major renovations and we were still living out of state, everything would be coordinated with our general contractor and communication with us and him would be frequent and detailed. That did not happen. Coordination with the GC was spotty at best and communication with us only took place, other than regular billing, primarily at our initiative. Once the pool construction phase was completed, getting it up and running properly was fraught with aggravation. The electronics were a mess, the heat pump, lights and pool lights didn’t work properly and permits weren’t closed out until I wrote a letter to the owner. The pool project manager rarely responded to calls or texts. Although now, 4 months after completion, everything is fine and we really enjoy our new pool, the process of getting it to this point was unpleasant and stressful to say the least.

**Comment from Aquatica Pools & Spas:**

> Thank you for sharing your feedback. We apologize for the communication and coordination issues you faced during your pool construction. We've taken your concerns seriously and are actively working to improve our processes to prevent similar occurrences. We're glad to hear you're enjoying your pool now, and we appreciate your understanding as we strive to enhance our services.

> It's beautiful.
>
> But we needed it FAST, they promised 8-10 weeks and ran 5 weeks late. They promised to be reachable and provide updates, they were not.
>
> The project manager was running too many jobs, seldom there, and not focused.
>
> Over promised, under delivered.

**Comment from Aquatica Pools & Spas:**

> Thank you for appreciating the beauty of your pool. We apologize for the delay and communication lapses. Your feedback on the project manager's availability is noted, and we're actively working to improve our processes. If you have specific concerns, please reach out directly. We value your understanding as we strive to enhance our services.

> Ben, Frankie and team did a great job. Ben really helped with the design and Frankie was an excellent construction manager. Both were responsive and professional. Enjoyed working with them!! Would highly recommend them!!

**Comment from Aquatica Pools & Spas:**

> Thank you for your positive feedback! We greatly appreciate your kind words about Ben, Frankie, and the entire team. It's wonderful to hear that you were pleased with your project!

**★★★★ — jamesallenweaver, Jan. 2023**

> Customer service and communication is improving day by day. I will update once our project is completed. The owner has been very responsive.

**Comment from Aquatica Pools & Spas:**

> Thank you for the feedback. We strive to do better for our clients everyday!

**★★★★★ — Kim Bergner, Aug. 2022**

> We used Aquatica for a fairly complicated pool and deck design, and couldn’t be happier with the final product. The various crews that worked on our pool were extremely hard workers, very talented, had great attention to detail, and most importantly took pride in their work. We were very fortunate to have Chestley as our project manager, and he was fantastic to work with. He took the time to listen to us and keep us informed every step of the way. Any construction project is going to have its share of bumps and challenges along the way, and Aquatica’s and Chestley’s response to these was outstanding. They keep the customer front and center along the way, and we would recommend them to anyone.

**★★★★★ — Rob, Dec. 2021**

> The first thing word that comes to mind with we think of Aquatica is ethical. We put in a large pool and spa. The entire process was unexpectedly smooth and easy. Ben in sales provided good advice on products and design. There were no hidden costs and all promises made in original sales meetings were kept. He managed our expectations appropriately. Steven, our project manager, was outstanding. He met all our concerns and issues with careful consideration and respect for our point of view. He addressed each promptly and to our complete satisfaction. Both Ben and Steven are patient, knowledgeable and responsive (even months after project is complete). This is an excellent company to work with.

**Comment from Aquatica Pools & Spas:**

> Thank you, Rob! We enjoyed working with you and working on your pool. We hope it brings you a lot of great memories in the future!
