GreenCraft Associates is a husband and wife team who work together to transform any property into a lovely, functional extension of the home with outdoor spaces that inspire everything from lavish summer parties to serene escapes from the busyness of everyday life. Rob DeStefano, LLA \#000950, is an artist with an affinity for nature and architecture. The son of a contractor, Rob has hands-on experience working in construction, which makes him a highly qualified and skilled project manager who selects customized teams of contractors built around each project to ensure the highest quality craftsmanship. His wife, Trisha Coene, is a garden designer and outdoor display horticulturist who also studied Landscape Architecture at Rutgers University and completed her apprenticeship in Display Horticulture at Kennett Square, Pennsylvania based Longwood Gardens. **Q: Name of the wooden pods with holes in them** *(in Photo Questions)*

Hello, what are they called? Can you grow them in zone 9?

A: Yes, those are lotus pods. These have a coating of moss on them and they are dried, so they last a long time. They grow in ponds, but you can buy the pods from any craft or floral supply shop.

**Q: Need similar branches** *(in Photo Questions)*

Where did you get the white branches/trees?

A: They are painted birch branches. You get them from a florist wholesale supply place in bunches. Usually only available in winter around the holidays.

**Q: Do these flowers also help to keep pests away?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Yes! They are African Marigolds which emit the chemical thiopene from their roots. Thiopene has been proven to repel nematodes, which feed on the roots of plants like tomatoes.

I absolutely love this! Can you please tell me where this mailbox stand was purchased? Thank you.

A: It belongs to a client of ours and I believe it came from Frontgate, a catalog company you can find online. It's several years old, so not sure if they still carry them. You can also try Walpole Woodworkers; you'll find them online as well.

A: They are indeed plastic; that's all I use outdoors.

**Q: To put greenery in planters for Christmas do you need dirt in pots?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Yes, or you can use Oasis cubes (from a florist) for indoor greenery arrangements. The cut fresh greens still need water to stay fresh.
