This is a project we did 4 years ago. I understand these tiles are no longer available. We sourced these from Julian Tile in Vancouver BC. **Q: kitchen island paint colour** *(in Photo Questions)* What paint colour is the kitchen island? Beautiful Dunbar home! A: Thank you for your interest. This beautiful island is painted Benjamin Moore VanDusen Blue **Q: what is the source of the rug** *(in Photo Questions)* ? A: This is our clients rug. I believe it is from Ikea. **Q: Boy's Room - Before and After** *(in Home Decorating)* Transformed an old and boring room to a fun space. The room has new windows to create a cool and modern effect. The artwork is also greatly showcased for this environment. A: fun transformation! **Q: Backsplash - Just Do It!!** *(in Before & After)* As an intermediate DIYer, I had no fear in gutting our kitchen and hanging cabinets. What did scare me? The backsplash! I had never done one before. I watched a lot of YouTube videos, talked with friends and box store "experts", but even after the cabinets and counter were installed, I procrastinated on installing the backsplash. After a lot of pre-planning, I jumped in with both feet. Using the Rigid LevelMax Lippage Reduction System, I was amazed how quickly and easily the tile went up. The next day, I removed the Rigid system and mixed my grout. I know according to the instructions and videos what the consistency of the grout should be but I still was holding my breath as I started to spread it across the tile. It was a little "messy" for me but I had protected the new quartz countertops and face of the base cabinets. After about a week, I sealed the grout. All I can say is that if you are like I was, don't fear the backsplash. I think it turned out beautiful. A: the color looks great with your countertops. Great job! **Q: paint color for great room** *(in Paint)* Painters are coming in two days. Going for a modern farmhouse look. I wanted all white (was thinking BM decorators white) but hubby thinks we should do an off-white on the walls so then I was looking at BM classic gray. What do you guys think? Will probably be buying a new sectional that's bigger (white, gray or beige) and built-ins (probably white) will be going around the fireplace.
