**★★★★★ — Natalie Littrell, April 2017**

> This review is long overdue! I highly recommend Jim Beley for any design/architect project you are considering. We were introduced to Jim at a home show, looking for advise on how to do a kitchen and bath remodel, with updating colors for the remaining living space. Jims designs were timeless, durable and functional. It has been 6 years since our remodel and everyday I enjoy the spaces he created for us. He captured the essence of our homes original design and encouraged us to think outside the box on design details and colors.
> Jim is extremely easy to work with. He was onsite often to oversee the work and would not hesitate to correct any missteps. He was involved with the workers and suppliers to ensure quality work and products. Love our kitchen, love our bathrooms, and love the freshened up living space that we enjoy every day.

**★★★★★ — Holly Roser, Nov. 2016**

> I wish I could give more than 5 stars! Working with Jim was an incredible experience. He created an amazing new space in our 100+ year old Craftsman, while making it not appear 'new'. His attention to detail is unparalleled. He incorporated many details from our original house into the addition. He introduced us to fantastic general contractors, that completed the project with a minimal amount of stress. I would highly recommend Jim for any project!

**★★★★★ — Kay Knapton, Nov. 2016**

> Beley Design carried out two separate remodel projects for me, first a kitchen and then a bathroom, to upgrade a 30 year old condo. He holds high standards for himself and the contractors to assure a meticulous resolution to the unexpected challenges encountered when imposing a new design on an existing footprint.
> His design aesthetic and creativity infused each project with beauty and functionality that will bring pleasure for years to come.
> With an extensive knowledge of materials and resources he assisted us in finding the perfect design and functional solutions to enhance our project.
> He worked hand in hand with contractors and suppliers at each step to trouble-shoot problems that inevitably arose to assure that the projects came in on time and within budget.

**★★★★★ — Eric Strand, Oct. 2016**

> We hired Beley Design to design a new front porch for our Seattle bungalow. Jim came up with a creative design that stayed true to the original style of the house, but with an up-to-date feel. Jim was a pleasure to work with, and developed a great rapport with the builder which was an extra bonus. The porch turned out great, and all the neighbors commented positively about its appearance.

**★★★★★ — mindyzhall, July 2014**

> Jim is the very best designer! He helped us turn a very small, awkward space into an extremely functional and GORGEOUS bathroom that is great for us and our 14 month old son. We would work with him again FOR SURE and recommend him to everyone! He is flexible as well - offering as little or as much in services based upon what we needed.

**★★★★★ — Adam Priest, Dec. 2013**

> Jim Beley created some amazing concepts in the remodeling of this beautiful log home. His attention to detail continues to impress me more and more. As a professional I am impressed by his creative thought, and ingenious designs, Jim seems to constantly strive to raise the bar, and he does.

Conceptually, the house is composed of sliding or bypassing elements, echoing the structural system. The exposed structure of the second story reaches upward, breaking free fro…

 - Description: University District, Seattle, Washington 2008 This beloved 1913 Craftsman was in need of an expansion, as the family was growing. They wished to add a second floor addition, one that solved their need for space, but was still respectful of the original architecture and the neighborhood. Maintaining the proud gable front, the new second floor is set back from the front and rear facades to visually reduce the scale of the addition. Seismic upgrades traced their way to the basement, where the house…

## Community Q&A

**Q: tile** *(in Photo Questions)*

hello, I would like to know where I can purchase the tile. Thank you

A: Hello, it's even more stunning in person. This glass tile is from Oceanside Glass & Tile... 'Tahoe Iridescent' - 1.25" x 10"
link below...
http://www.glasstile.com/elevations-color-palette.aspx
Best,
Jim

**Q: What is the counter top?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Hi DK, This is Pental Quartz 'Coastal Grey'. Highly recommended. Jim

**Q: Backsplash Brand and Color** *(in Photo Questions)*

Can you tell me what backsplash brand and color was used? Looks great. Where can I buy it? Thanks!

A: Hi John,
It's a silver quartzite tile, 2"x12" and 2"x16" (distr. by Ambiente Tile, Seattle).
Best of luck with your project,
Jim

**Q: Backsplash** *(in Photo Questions)*

Can you please tell me the brand and name of the backsplash?

A: You're very welcome. The thickness of the tile varies from end to end up to a half inch differential, which makes for an interesting undulation. Enjoy!

**Q: what brand are the glass shower sides and door?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Hello,
No brand... as is typical of this kind of installation, these are custom fabricated tempered glass panels with US Horizon hinges and clips. Handle is from Colonial Bronze. I hope that helps.

**Q: What is the backsplash?** *(in Photo Questions)*

It looks like slate. Is it material that would also be used on a fireplace?

A: Hi Susan,
The backsplash is quartzite and would certainly be appropriate for cladding a fireplace. Jim
