## Community Q&A

**Q: Kitchen Cabinet Hardware Selections.** *(in Building a Home)*

OK. So I have Shaker Cabinets. Mostly Drawers on Bottoms. Some Cabinets. And Some Upper Cabinets.
Thinking of these:
thoughts? I love the plate and think might protect cabinet from getting dirty...and a little unique?

Planning to put the Pull in center of Drawers. Leaning towards 5" on most. And on the Bigger drawers 6". I can't go higher because they don't carry but can look at others that do go higher...\[originally was thinking 10-12" for the 36" drawers\]. Thoughts?
Also thinking of doing the T Bar for Upper Cabinets as well the Base Cabinets that Have doors. But Uppers are 40" so maybe I should do 5" pulls.
Areas I'm struggling with:
Both sinks have tilt-out top for sponges, etc. Just do the 5 or 6" pull there?
Trash Pullout 1 next to sink does not have a drawer and just pulls out.
Trash Pullout 2 next to prep sink on island has a drawer above. So then I'm not sure if I do a pull on drawer and a t bar on the pull-out trash part? if so should i switch other trash \[without drawer above\].
Left of Double Oven. Bottom Pulls Out \[for spices, etc.\] Top is Cabinet. Do I treat them different or same?
Right of Double Oven. Cabinet Will Hit Double Oven. What do people do in this instance? Assuming just don't worry about it? \[maybe I could put a clear stopper idea on the side of double ovens\]. Cooktop. Top is 'fake' drawer. So I leave it 'blank' right?
Cooktop. Top is 'fake' drawer. So I leave it 'blank' right?
Thanks.

here's my drawings

A: Trish - are these Armac Martin pulls and knobs? They are really beautiful!

**Q: Wes Anderson fans?** *(in Home Decorating Conversations)*

This looks interesting - and holy smokes what a cast!

Cast

A: What an amazing cast!! Wow!

**Q: Front door color?!** *(in Paint)*

Building a house and need to pick out front door paint! Thinking about using Sherwin Williams Sun Dried Tomato.... thoughts? Or maybe burgundy? Any other ideas? Side note- stone will surround door and be on foundation, and columns will be changed out to 8 in columns.

A: I think the yellow would be amazing!

**Q: Pros/Cons of a workstation type sink as the only sink in the kitchen?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I'm looking for advise rom people that have a workstation sink as their only sink in the kitchen. Ours will be 30"-33" and we have a decent amount of counter space. So is the workstation sink worth it or just get a plain single basin sink? Thanks for any insights.

A: Look at creategoodsinks.com Beautiful ledge sinks and accessories at amazing prices! I'm getting the 46 inch sink and can't wait!

**Q: How to document house building experience** *(in Building a Home)*

Wondering how is everyone documenting your journey of building a house. Most of us are probably too busy keeping up with all the decisions and changes during the build process to think about doing anything more extravagant than taking photos. We have not done any updates/posts on social media yet, but we have found some high quality content online that are helpful and decided to start a blog. It’s the best channel we can think of to post photos and stories so we can share our lessons-learned and build process.
Here is what we liked the most:
Houzz forum of course, lots of helpful advice here
YouTube: Golden Eagle Log and Timber, Building My Dream Home
Website: Custom One Homes, custom home building process series https://www.customonehomesmn.com/videos/
Instagram: Studio McGee
Blog: Home Bunch https://www.homebunch.com/archive/
And this is our brand new blog. Welcome to visit.

A: I would love to have that Kristin! That will be amazing when everything is finished to see how things changed.

**Q: Rechargeable cordless stick vac - do you have one you recommend** *(in Home Decorating Conversations)*

I've been reading very mixed reviews and wondering if anyone has any first hand experience. I'd like to get one to keep on our main level for quick once overs on the mostly wood floors. I have a regular vacuum (that is stored downstairs) for heavier duty cat hair pickup on the carpet, etc.

A: Dyson V8 on a limited time deal on Amazon for $299 today.
