> I had my basement (finally) finished into a family room, bathroom, and under the stairs storage.  My basement had been unfinished since we moved in 2008.  Mark worked with me on the floor plan and made some great recommendations to make the space look more upscale.  He made recommendations throughout the process with the help of his subcontractors - such as an expanded shower without a bathtub, LED recessed lighting.  I got to pick out my carpet, bathroom flooring, doors, door knobs, cabinet hardware, light fixtures, and paint!  I loved that the job included the painting!!

> Throughout the process, Mark and Lisa communicated with me so I knew when subcontractors would be at my house working.  Everyone who worked on my basement did an excellent job in workmanship.    I was also impressed with the way they cleaned up after themselves each day.  And, if they didn't do a good enough job, Mark or Lisa were there to finish the clean up.

> Their pricing was a bit lower than other contractors who specialized in basement finishing, but it included more.  The others didn't include flooring and they would prime the walls but not paint them.  I also wouldn't have been able to pick out doors or finishes.

**Q: Are the roof shingles Presidential shake by Certainteed? Color? Thank** *(in Photo Questions)*

I am choosing new roof shingles for a dark brown clapboard hose in Bucks County, Pa.

A: I just saw your question; so very sorry about not responding right away.  Yes, these shingles are CertainTeed's Presidential Shake TL in Weathered Wood with Mountain Ridge to give the ridge a bolder look.  I think they would look fabulous on a dark brown house.  These shingles give great curb appeal!  You will have people ask you many questions about this shingle --- conversation piece!  Thank you for your interest!

A: So sorry for the delay... just arrived back in town.  The top railing and posts are made of a composite material (same as the deck).  No need for staining.  Thank you for your question and your patience!  ~Lisa

Love the mirror!  Where is it from?

A: Hello Katesteinopf,  We custom made the mirror by taking off about 2 1/2" from the 
pedestal (it is white cedar) then cut out the center leaving about a 2 1/2" rim.  We then applied an epoxy coat and brought into a have a mirror put on the back.  The eye hooks can be purchased at any hardware store (which were painted brown),  The rope can be purchased at most hardware stores also.  Thank you for your interest and question.  ~Lisa

**Q: Knob knobs everywhere. How do icehouse?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I need advise on kitchen cabnet knobs and pulls.  I have expresso cabinets. White granite.  Thinking if glass knobs....do not like the glass pulls.  Trying for that old world look, or French bistro?  White tin tile ceiling, hard wood floors.

A: Attached is a picture of a kitchen we did using an assortment of brushed silver hardware.  Your hardware is like jewelry to your kitchen so have fun, flaunt and use different pieces together, but do use accordingly to the size of drawer or door front.  Have fun!  ~Lisa
