> This is our second time hiring Creative Kitchen & Bath. They remodeled our kitchen a few years ago and now our master bathroom. The final product in both jobs exceeded our expectations. They listened to our ideas, came up with a great design, and completed the job in a timely manner. We're looking forward to working with Creative Kitchen & Bath again for our next project. Thank you, Tom, Taylor, Ron, Drew, and Eugene for a fantastic bathroom!

> We could not be happier with the projects CKB has done for us! The completely remodeled kitchen is still a delight 5 years later, so of course we turned to them recently for additional projects. Our guest bathroom and laundry room are now beautiful and very functional, with more storage space than we thought was possible. The master bath was a smaller partial remodel, but received the same attention to design and careful installation and has turned out great. Dilya kept our budget and wishes in mind, gave us excellent advice and help choosing materials, and came up with design solutions that even include an attractive cabinet for the cat's litter box. Ron did the work with great care and attention to detail; he and Drew were friendly and professional and executed the projects with minimal disruption and mess. Tom and Dilya stopped in regularly to check on progress and were very responsive to questions and a few minor changes. Working with CKB has been a pleasure! And we absolutely LOVE the results!!

> We recently remodeled our kitchen and CKB helped bring it from the 90s with a difficult layout, to a beautiful and functional kitchen that fits our family’s needs! Working with Dilya was very easy! She steered me in the right direction on the design when I struggled with making some decisions. The whole team, Tom, Drew, and contractor Milynn, were all very polite, responsive, efficient, and professional. I don’t think this could have gone any better for living without a kitchen for 3 months! I would highly recommend CKB for a renovation and would definitely look to them again when it’s time to update our 90s bathrooms!

> Went in the store today for advice on a small bathroom remodel that I am undertaking. Although, I was told that my project was too small for their services, their interior designer, Dilya, met with me and gave me excellent design advice and took the time to answer all my questions. Excellent service to point me in the right direction on my very small DIY bathroom finish refurbishment. Could not done it without them. Even gave me a handyman contractor referral. Very sweet of them to take the time with me. I highly recommend their services.

> Our bathroom remodel is complete. The design was very good. We love the function of the bathroom now and how it looks larger. We are so spoiled already with the heated floor, the super quiet fan, shower that turns to just the right temperature when turned on, and the bidet toilet with the heated seat. We now have medicine cabinets with built in lighting. The people who came into our home to do the work were thoughtful and as quiet as possible. Our need was to make our bathroom ready for aging in place, and while we are still quite active, I think they nailed it.

> WOW! My new kitchen is aMazing! There were no major issues. No weird asbestos, no funky wiring issues, no sink holes! Just smooth sailing and quite the transformation! It was fun coming home every day to see what progress was made. Thanks to Hannah, our designer, who took a handful of pins from my Pinterest board and created a contemporary, functional design. Thanks to Mike for implementing with such precision and professionalism. Knocking down a support wall and seeing the process of installing the beam was fascinating! And thanks to Tom for his flexibility with the financing earlier on. Dealing w/ the bank was the hardest part of this whole thing! Thanks to Drew for being so pleasant and giving the dogs attention (we have 4 mischievous Basenjis). Again back to Hannah, I put all my trust in her expertise and she did not disappoint. I love every choice she made (those kidney shelves have everyone jealous)! I've heard others complain about being overwhelmed but she knew my style and limited my choices accordingly. CKB - you must hire them. You will not be disappointed.

> We are so glad we chose Creative Kitchen & Bath for our master bathroom remodel. We worked with Hannah, Mike, Drew, and Tom throughout the project and they all were fantastic. Our designer, Hannah, understood what we were looking for from the start even though most of what we wanted we had a hard time articulating. We met with a couple other companies for comparisons, but none of the others "got us" like Hannah did. With CKB we really felt like we would be getting the master bathroom we wanted, customized to our style. When it came time for the project to begin, we were a little nervous about the logistics since we have 4 dogs, but the whole crew were fantastic. The dogs loved them and I could tell they in turn loved our dogs. For a major remodel going on in the house, the noise and disruption was minimal. As with all home improvement projects some decisions and minor changes were made along the way, and each time the crew clearly communicated the situation, our options, and in most cases we ended up with a better outcome than the original plan without going over budget. If only all home improvement projects went so smoothly! We really cannot recommend Creative Kitchen & Bath enough!

> We moved to Edmonds in 2006. We purchased a ranch style 1950's house that needed a bit of tender loving care. We lived with an ugly pink bathroom until 2019. So, we contacted Creative Kitchen & Bath. The company had completely renovated our kitchen about ten years ago, so I contacted the owner to do so something about the pink bathroom.
> The designer was awesome. Jennifer took the time to learn our preferred styles, and kept in touch with us during the whole design phase of the project. It was a pleasure to work with Jennifer and she is very talented.
> The construction crew literally demolished the bathroom per my request. Ron noticed that the floor joists were damaged, the walls were not level and the the floor sloped. So the crew had to replace the floor joists, plumb the studs and use a self-leveling compound to level the floor.
> The crew installed drywall, textured the walls and then painted. They installed a spacious walk-in shower, cabinets, Caesar stone counter-tops, sink, high-efficiency toilet, floor tile, shower wall tile, a glass tile horizontal band beginning on shower walls to the end of the vanity, mirrors, lighting, and brushed nickel accessories.
> I am extremely happy with the outcome. Friends and family love our new bathroom.

**Comment from Creative Kitchen & Bath:**

> Barbara, thank you so much for the positive review! It was a pleasure to work with you and we're looking forward to the next project.

> Full kitchen remodel from the subfloor up. Added an island with a cooktop and overhead lighting plus a flush extractor fan. Moved a door to the attached garage to allow for the island. Hannah, the designer was creative with our space. She selected/recommended hardware and materials that were totally in line with our taste. She is an excellent communicator. Mike, the construction lead was very thorough, pleasant and respectful of our home. The owner checked on progress several times. I could not have picked a better remodel company. They started and finished the project on time if not a little early. We’ll call them again for our next project.

**Comment from Creative Kitchen & Bath:**

> Thank you for the positive review! It was a pleasure to work with you and we look forward to future projects together.

**★★★★★ — Sue, May 2019**

> Everyone at CKB was great to work with, especially Hannah the designer. She listened to me and understood what style I like then presented beautiful options to fit my budget. My master bathroom project was completed on time even though it was during the February snow storms. The contractors were there getting it done even though I was snowed in! I love my new bathroom. I’d definitely hire them again.

**Comment from Creative Kitchen & Bath:**

> Thank you, Sue,
> We are thrilled to have been able to work with you on your bathroom remodel. It turned out beautifully, and we're happy that you're loving it. Thank you for your business!

**★★★★★ — Stacey Dell'Osso, Oct. 2018**

> We hired Creative Kitchen & Bath to remodel our master bathroom, our kids' bathroom and our laundry room. They also did some painting in our master bedroom and upstairs hallway, replaced all of our doors upstairs, and helped guide us to an excellent closet design company. The CKB designer, Hannah, came up with a beautiful design for our master bathroom that truly feels like a spa experience. The iterative design process took into account our goals and budget. The contractors who worked on the job (Mike and Eugene) were talented and professional, and Drew was meticulous with the painting and other detail finish work. Tom, the owner, was great to work with and absolutely fair and transparent with pricing and keeping to our budget. We are incredibly pleased with the results and highly recommend CKB as an excellent company to work with. We would definitely hire them again for future projects.

**Comment from Creative Kitchen & Bath:**

> Stacey, thank you for the kind review! It was our pleasure to work with you on the remodel and we're all thrilled with the result.

**★★★★★ — Kim Lamson, Sept. 2018**

> I am absolutely thrilled with my kitchen remodel. Creative Kitchen & Bath helped me with the design and did the actual remodel. I could not have asked for a better experience. They were very professional, cleaned up every day before they left. The finished the job on time and it is beautiful. I would highly recommend them to anyone wanting to do a remodel of their kitchen. The designer listened to me and we worked closely on choosing just the right tile, countertop, cabinets, floor, just everything. I love my new kitchen!!

## Community Q&A

**Q: where do i find the flooring in this photo?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Karen, this tile is from the Trust collection at Pental Tile & Stone in Seattle. Color shown is Titanium. The tile is 12" x 24", laid in a herringbone pattern. We completed this project in 2013, but the Pental website shows this tile is still available. You might want to give them a call (206.768.3200) to ensure that's still the case. Best of luck on your project!

**Q: Backsplash decision needed ASAP!** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I thought I had it all figured out. Changed granite and now I'm not sure about my tile choice. I thought the light grey was perfect, but up against the granite it looks washed out. I think the dark grey is better.

What do you think?

Rosebay

A: The richness of the dark grey creates a beautiful accent!

**Q: Dark colored wood look tile?** *(in Flooring)*

We are looking to replace the flooring in our entire first floor with porcelain wood look tile. We currently have a mix of hardwood/engineered HW and carpet and we want it all to be uniform as the rooms all flow into one another. We have 3 small kids and one large dog so I do not want to do HW again and then cringe at every new scratch. Thus the plan for tile. But I really want a dark espresso color and haven't been able to locate one anywhere other than through Build Direct online and I've read not great reviews about them. Does anyone know of a dark wood look tile??

A: Hi Renee,
Daltile has a ColorBody Porcelain series. It has some nice wood-like textures and colors. TimberGlen in Espresso may be what you are looking for.

**Q: Range** *(in Photo Questions)*

What is the make of the range?

A: Hi cyberpotter,
The maker of this range is Miele

**Q: 4" Backsplash Help** *(in Before & After)*

Hi Houzzers!

I'm about to get new countertops to replace these bad blue Corian ones. My countertop guy came out yesterday to take measurements. I told him I definitely did NOT want the 4" backsplash because, I'm planning on doing a tile backsplash all the way up behind the cooktop. That was not a problem with him, but he's adamant that I need the 4" backsplash to the left and right where the countertop butts up to the fridge and oven. I'm worried it's going to look absolutely stupid. He said he does it all the time, and it looks fine. I think the problem is the wood will be messed up when they take the existing backsplash off. Is there a way around this? Maybe a smaller backsplash? Some kind of wood filler or something? Ughh.

A: Hi Paige,
You may want to contact a company that refinishes cabinets. They might be able to repair the cabinet sides once the old countertop is removed & before the new is put in place.

**Q: Vanity and Linen tower** *(in Bathrooms)*

We purchased a espresso colored vanity for our bathroom, unfortunately it did not have a matching linen tower. I was wondering if a linen tower that is espresso color but not exact would be ok. They would not be side by side, the linen tower would be across from it on a different wall. I have noticed everyones "espresso" version is a little different.

A: The way light is diffused within a room can make even exact colors appear a little different. If the pieces are on opposite walls, you might never even know the difference. If you are worried about matching, then choose a contrasting, but complimentary color and it will look intentional. Good luck!
