**★★★★★ — Frentzen Construction, Inc., Feb. 2013**

> "I have worked with Haase Design for over a decade and have built several new custom houses they have designed. They specialize in Florida vernacular design - otherwise known as "Florida Cracker" - and do it very well (besides for good design work, they are probably the top experts in the state on the subject). Ron has researched and studied this historic Florida style, which evolved as an indigenous response to the local climate, in his capacity as an Architecture Professor at The University of Florida and has written a book on the subject. David has previously worked in other parts of the country in large architectural firms and brings the professionalism, attention to detail, and high quality architectural documentation one would expect in that environment. Their designs beautifully combine the cracker traditions for passive energy response to Florida heat and humidity with the simple but elegant design elements like numerous porches and long overhangs and add modern styling and energy features. They are both very pleasant to work with on a personal level and seek fair and reasonable solutions to the myriad compromises and problems that each custom project faces. That they remain friends with so many of their clients probably says it all. The pictures below are one of the houses I worked with them on.

> Fantastic design, attentive to client's wishes, complete understanding of construction details and practice, energy conscious, and a pleasure to work with.

> I have had the pleasure of collaborating with Ron and David at Haase Design on numerous residential projects over the past fifteen years. Not only are they immensely talented and creative architects, they bring a wealth of knowledge on southern vernacular architecture to the table, having literally “written the book” on the subject. Every detail is thoroughly studied and followed through from initial conceptual sketch to construction and it is evident in the final product, everything just looks and feels right. They also know how to create good relationships with their clients and help guide them through the process, making the project much more enjoyable. That really isn’t surprising; the guys are great fun to work with.
