They specialize in Florida vernacular design - otherwise known as "Florida Cracker" - and do it very well (besides for good design work, they are probably the top experts in the state on the subject). Ron has researched and studied this historic Florida style, which evolved as an indigenous response to the local climate, in his capacity as an Architecture Professor at The University of Florida and has written a book on the subject. David has previously worked in other parts of the country in large architectural firms and brings the professionalism, attention to detail, and high quality architectural documentation one would expect in that environment. Their designs beautifully combine the cracker traditions for passive energy response to Florida heat and humidity with the simple but elegant design elements like numerous porches and long overhangs and add modern styling and energy features. They are both very pleasant to work with on a personal level and seek fair and reasonable solutions to the myriad compromises and problems that each custom project faces. That they remain friends with so many of their clients probably says it all.
