Our first project with Chris and third with bulthaup. **★★★★★ — ksmiller12, April 2015** > We had dreamed of a Bulthaup Kitchen for years and finally completed that dream. We had totally remodeled our house in a minimalistic style and the kitchen was the final piece. The kitchen needed to flow with the rest of the house and outside, so Chris Tosdevin not only provided the kitchen design, but helped us design the integration flow to the rest of the house, walls, windows and sliders to the outside. It worked out perfectly. So with the beauitful walnut finish, stainless accents and Gaggenau Applicances we are totally happy. Visitors are quite impressed. **★★★★★ — js4380, March 2015** > Chris is a leader in the industry and I've had the opportunity to work with him on numerous projects over the years. He brings a wealth of knowledge and a keen sense of design to the table that makes the whole process look easy. The Kitchens he has designed for my clients have a timeless elegance, function beautifully, and have enhanced the overall architecture of the projects. **★★★★★ — nycclient123, March 2015** > Chris T is an outstanding professional. I first interacted with him when he was building Bulthaup in London over 20 years ago and have used him to design and oversee the installation of four residential kitchens and a large basement food storage and refrigeration space in New York city and in Connecticut, despite having the choice of working with teams locally. > > Chris is very honest and thorough with an eye for functional design and a strong sense of aesthetics and how someone moves around a kitchen. He is highly detail oriented. Most importantly he listens and makes sure he understands what a client is looking for before he proposes anything specific. He is also highly responsive to change requests or other issues that typically arise during this type of project. He communicates well with designers and architects as well as builders/contractors. Great team player. > > There is no one in my experience who understands the Bulthaup product better and whether it is right for a client or not. He is very clear about working with a budget and very disciplined. > > I would happily work with him again. **★★★★★ — tomkaplan, March 2015** > Our floor plan positioned the kitchen in a most prominent location in our home and as such required it to extremely well designed in every detail. And that it dis as it evolved into a piece of fine art sculpture under Chris's incredibly skilled and insightful design. Throughout the process he listened and worked seamlessly with our architect, my wife and I, always gracious and collaborative, achieving a perfect result. What is truly amazing is that after using and experiencing the kitchen for over a year now there is nothing we would have done differently. This a testament to Chris's knowledge, experience and creativity. Chris balanced form and function equally and structured an ideal flow in around all the equipment and spaces. **★★★★★ — bulthaupcustomer, March 2015** > Chris tosdevin presented two options to my wife and I after listening carefully to what are desires where for our kitchen. He nailed it, we now live every day in a perfect kitchen. Chris worked closely with our architect to make sure all the elements of design were met. You could not find a more talented and creative individual. From our initial meeting to follow up he listens. He is the ultimate professional. > Andy Madans > Manhattan Beach CA **★★★★★ — tmcwhirter, March 2015** > Chris Tosdevin of Baulthaup Santa Monica is the best! When we were embarking on a major renovation our architects suggested that we use Chris for the kitchen. One of the best house decisions we made. He gave us solid advice, provided expert design direction and helped us create a truly magnificent kitchen. **★★★★★ — rosakendallsinnott, March 2015** > Chris helped create our Los Angeles, kitchen with the most up to date appliances and the most modern look and helped us choose the best materials over a year and a half ago! We are thrilled with the results and are now having him help us with our desert home. He worked so well with our Design team and our Architectural team! His installers were the best, and all in all, we felt so looked after! **★★★★★ — hughesumbanhowar architects, March 2015** > We have worked with Chris and bulthaup over many projects for nearly 15 years. > He is facile with multiple design solutions, represents a solid product that he knows inside and out. Chris is always the first kitchen provider we go to because of his demeanor, professionalism and ability to deliver a project from start to end. **★★★★★ — rk8427, March 2015** > I have been working with Chris for many years beginning in 2001. He has been excellent to work with. He is a very good designer, respectful of the architecture, meets deadlines and works well with the client. The project that I am referencing below is the second one for this client. The installation will take place in a few weeks. This same client is also considering Bulthaup for a condominium project now in construction. This represents the great confidence in his ability to provide the highest level of professionalism. > > Chis is also known for his generosity to the Los Angeles chapter of the AIA. He has supported many programs financially and hosted receptions. He is a true member of the architectural and design community. **★★★★★ — H2 interiors, Feb. 2015** > Chris at Bulthaup Santa Monica helped us design an absolutely stunning kitchen. He was wonderful at coming up with inventive solutions to whatever hurdles we came up against; we would absolutely use him again if the need ever arose. I love my kitchen and find it to be as functional as it is lovely. **★★★★★ — designguide.com, Feb. 2015** > Chris is the Maestro of Kitchen Designers. He is an expert at all aspects of planning and specifying. I would highly recommend him and his team. ## Selected projects - [rustic canyon- new build](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/rustic-canyon-new-build-pj-vj~939665) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 3 - Description: great collaboration with my friend Michael Lehrer / LEHRER ARCHITECTS LA photos courtesy of LEHRER ARCHITECTS LA - [santa monica canyon](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/santa-monica-canyon-pj-vj~892170) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 3 - Description: mid century remodel - collaboration with our friend Bret Thoeny architect photos - LA Times - [bulthaup santa monica showroom](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/bulthaup-santa-monica-showroom-pj-vj~939648) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 6 - Description: nico marques / Photekt - [pasadena mid century restoration](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/pasadena-mid-century-restoration-pj-vj~892234) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 7 - Description: designed in collaboration with our friend David Montalba architect - [mandaville canyon remodel](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/mandaville-canyon-remodel-pj-vj~912420) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 5 - Description: architecture/design for our client/friends - [hollywood hills remodel](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/hollywood-hills-remodel-pj-vj~892228) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 3 - Description: designed in collaboration with our friend David Montalba architect - [rustic canyon remodel](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/rustic-canyon-remodel-pj-vj~892232) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 2 - Description: designed in collaboration with our friend Mark Rios architects - [oxnard beach house](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/oxnard-beach-house-pj-vj~892220) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 4 - Description: designed in collaboration with our friend Scott Strumwasser/ Enclosures architects - [encino hills house](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/encino-hills-house-pj-vj~892199) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 4 - Description: designed for our good friend and General Contractor Paul Kambur of Kambur Construction - [manhattan beach house](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/manhattan-beach-house-pj-vj~892195) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 6 - Description: designed in collaboration with our friend Dean Nota architect, and Andy Madens GC - [san francisco concrete & st steel](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/san-francisco-concrete-and-st-steel-pj-vj~939674) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 5 - Description: Contemporary town house designed by Stanley Saitowitz bulthaup kitchen, living, family, home office and screening room designed by chris tosdevin - [golf coarse adjacent](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/golf-coarse-adjacent-pj-vj~1432865) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 6 - Description: another great collaboration with my old friend Trevor Abramson FAIA - [manhatten beach - upside down town house](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/manhatten-beach-upside-down-town-house-pj-vj~1432844) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 1 - Description: another great collaboration with my old friend James Meyer of Lean Arch - [mountain second home](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/mountain-second-home-pj-vj~1432811) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 4 - Description: Another great collaboration with Trevor Abramson FAIA - [los angeles family retreat](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/los-angeles-family-retreat-pj-vj~1432805) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 6 - Description: Another great collaboration with Trevor Abramson FAIA - [carmel - modernist pavilion](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/carmel-modernist-pavilion-pj-vj~1106570) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 9 - Description: Designed in collaboration with our good friend Jim Jennings and his team [See all 16 projects](https://www.houzz.com/professionals/kitchen-and-bath-designers/chris-tosdevin-bulthaup-santa-monica-pfvwus-pf~788854964) ## Ideabooks - [christosdevin's ideas](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/42997912/list/christosdevin-s-ideas) — 3 ideas [See all 1 ideabook](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/users/christosdevin) --- *Source: Houzz professional profile.
