Right from the start it was clear that Laura knew her products and willing to work with you in your price range. Laura came to our home and spent close to two hours giving me multiple options in all different price ranges. I was left with books and an invitation to her home to see several of the products in her home. Laura is easy to work with, knowledgeable, efficient, and prompt with delivery and installation. You can't go wrong if you use Laura!!!!

**Q: Hobbled roman shade v. flat style** *(in Photo Questions)*

Is a hobbled roman shade as good as a flat one for room darkening and draft insulation?  Thanks.

A: Lutine,
I believe that hobbled shades will be more energy efficient than a flat Roman just by virtue of the extra folds which can trap cold or hot air. Of course there are many other variables here starting with the initial "weight" of your face fabric as well as the corresponding lining that you choose. For example: the best for energy would be a heavy woven fabric with a thermal lining. The least efficient would be a thin faux silk with a flimsy liner. Of course there are many options in between these extremes. I hope that this is helpful!
