## Community Q&A

**Q: Please help me tie my room together!** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Hi everyone!  I've been decorating my living room and I'm hoping I can get some help on what I can do to tie it all together.  Right now it seems kind of random and I'm not sure if everything complements each other or how I can make that happen.  Any ideas would be much appreciated!

A: You have a lot of potential here. Start with balance. The sofa wall needs to scale more similarly with the other two. You could add drapery, wall sconces for interest and function and color.
\- repeat your shapes in odd numbers. Your coffee table is oval, add oval/ound mirror, add rounded vases on shelves and drum lamp shades
\- pillows on couch should be large, vary in materials and textur for interest.
\- pull chair out to right of couch, facing either straight to window or angled to TV. 
\- if you can add a pendant or chandelier in th center, would create a focal piece plus interest, reflective surface and function.
