I signed and returned to them the sales agreement on July 30, 2015. The sales agreement had an estimated ship date for the week of October 12, 2015. After repeated phone calls and emails I finally received an email on October 29, 2015 from Jim Lapic telling me of an email from the day before. It stated "Your doors will be built next week so that the finishing company can pick them up the following week. We will be speaking with the head finisher on Friday and will then be able to get you a date for your doors being finished." I emailed them on 11/17/2015 and 11/24/2015 asking for a status update. I have not received a response. Please let me know if there is anything else that I can do to help. - Jim **Q: do you remember (roughly) how long this building is?** *(in Photo Questions)* I love the proportions of the length to the roof pitch and height! A: That is a beautiful home. It was actually a stable originally. I do not have the dimensions on hand but let me check our records and see what i can find. It may take me a day or two. **Q: Adding security** *(in Photo Questions)* I like to add security metal on the window. How can you do this while leaving the shutters and inner wi downs functional? A: For the shutters, the simplest thing to do would be to have the shutters overlap the metal security screen and use hinges that give the offset needed. The offset will be determined by the metal security screen as well as where it will be mounted to the house. Once you know that we can guide you on the needed offset. With regards to the windows being able to operate you would need to make sure that the screen was mounted so that it allowed the window to open and close. If your window is like the picture above the screen would most likely be mounted where the shutter is and then the shutter would be backed of to cover the screen when closed. If you could send us some photos of your windows, both up close with details as well as overview pictures, that would be a great help. I hope this helps! You can follow this link to see more of our custom mirrored closet doors by . **Q: Would you place seating in front of this fireplace?** *(in Design Dilemma)* Hi all; would appreciate some feedback on this kitchen fireplace. Note the stairs to the right of fireplace as well as entrance from hall. I'd like to create a cozy spot for sitting, but concerned about a) impeding traffic flow, and b) keeping seating small but welcoming and functional. We are also not loving the fireplace itself.....we'd like to make it look more rustic and have even thought of integrating a pizza oven above the fireplace proper, if such a thing could even be done. The home is french country/manor. We just bought this home and so all furniture/decor is not mine. Many thanks. Kim A: What about having a small comfy chair or two where that hutch is and the bin for firewood. Then if the fireplace is lit and someone wants to sit near it they can pull the chairs closer so that it only affect traffic at those times.
