Classical Progression Inc. ("CPI") is a full service architecture, interior design and construction company specializing in residential and commercial projects for over 25 years. 

CPI utilizes the latest in computer aided design and technology, along with the artistic and traditional style of hand drawings, to create the highest in quality design solutions for our clients. We use software such as AutoCad, Revit, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe In-Design to design initial 2D drawings, and Rhino, Revit, and 3D Studio Max to create realistic computer renderings that give the client a realistic understanding of their new design.

**Q: What should o do with this living room.** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I want to do something elegant in this living room.i have white walls and white sectional and i am going to change the carpet.

A: Are you looking to purchase new furniture?  If not, you could do an accent wall (paint or beautiful wallpaper) and a coffee table with some pillows to warm it up.

**Q: Couch color question** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Hello - we are moving into a house that has a wood paneled ceiling and a "lodge" feel. The current owner has beige/yellow furniture, however, our couch is dark grey (it's called "smoke"). Do you think a grey couch would work in this living room? My style is more modern, and I'm planning to paint the walls a brighter white.Thanks for your help!

A: I love the space and gray will look amazing and really make the space feel newer and cooler!

**Q: Laminate floor for bathroom?? Cons Pros?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I like the look of hardwood in bathrooms ...  I considered laminate that looks like hardwood, then I was told its not a good idea for bathrooms ....  ????  Input :)

A: While wood flooring is absolutely gorgeous, I would recommend staying away from it in the bathroom.  As moisture gets under the planks, they will begin to expand and pop up and not look right.  I would go with the tile porcelin option Norma posted above or a stone, either marble or tile is always gorgeous and timeless.

**Q: What style rug would work in my living room?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I've been getting great feedback on how to redecorate my living room. I just purchased a glass coffee table and some drum shades, but now my newest dilemma is choosing a rug. I'm looking for something less traditional, but nothing too modern or overly patterned. I'm a fan of the Ben Soleimani flat weave rugs at Restoration Hardware but not sure how one would look in my space. A friend suggested introducing a new color, like blue or gray. Any suggestions for me? I don't have an updated image of my living room with the new coffee table and shades (haven't arrived yet). I initially thought about getting a shag rug but changed my mind.

I'm scraping and sanding original paint off the window frame. I need help in selecting a color scheme for the window frame and shutters

A: I love the idea of doing black and white with the brown siding.  It will turn a more traditional home into something a little cleaner and sleeker!

**Q: Need advice on what to do to this family room** *(in Design Dilemma)*

This is my family room. We moved in last month and I am just starting to figure out what I want to do here.
Walls are a medium grey by Benjamin Moore, though it doesnt look like it in this picture. 
The sectional is a darkish, khaki green microfiber with tufted buttons and its staying. I want to add colorful pillows and need color suggestions. 

Also would like to add something next to the tv on the left, a bookshelf or something to take up space and make it feel more homey. 

Also, maybe some tables behind the couch and something on the wall behind the couch. I am afraid if I do a built in to the left of the tv, it will be too tight with the small depth i have because of my fireplace. 

This room is on the small side and right now I think its very linear. I would consider getting a new circular coffee table also, to break up the lines.
I have two small children, so I dont want anything with a lot of glass or fragile. 

This room is directly open to my kitchen area. I also need window treatments for the patio windows that lead to my backyard from this room. Any advice would be great!

A: another great suggestion would be to put a low glass shelf with books on it behind the couch to make the space open to the rest of your house.  Room & Board have great options.
