We are extremely pleased with the entire project. David and Tabitha were very responsive, on time, and easy to work with. The installation crew was excellent. When questions were raised about their contract they quickly withdrew their proposal and left us without a contractor. Also, Monumental Lawn's contract expects homeowners to carry insurance on them while working on your project. The owner would not state an estimated completion date and required a substantial down payment without any work performed. Poor business practice. **Comment from Monumental Lawn & Outdoor LLC:** > Tom, we are sorry that you feel this way after our conversations, and working together to develop a very unique design. To clarify, we do not require any client to carry insurance on our company. We carry full liability and workers comp. on our company and team at all times, and supply a certificate upon request. We do require a down payment upon agreement, to cover pre-order materials and any pre-built products to be completed prior to commencement of work. This varies from 30% to 50% depending on job size and scope. We are able to discuss an expected time frame, but we are not able to write a firm date in a contract that could hold us in breach, due to elements out of our own control, such as weather, supplies, etc. We did enjoy working with you to create your very unique outdoor plans, and do hope that you are able to find a contractor who can bring it to life, or even better. **★★★★★ — Brian Minderman, Oct. 2016** > Project was an expansion of existing paver patio & addition of gas fire pit with a custom concrete stained top. > Excellent quality of workmanship in hardscaping finished product! > Monumental is reliable, trustworthy, and they prioritize customer satisfaction.
