I went in 6 weeks ago and met with Kristi. Had a great experience in the showroom and she was very friendly. We decided to go with them for the personal service and I loved that I was dealing with the owners of the company. I put down a $4800 deposit and was told that she would order the slabs so that we would have a limited delay once we were ready to install them after the cabinets were in. > Well, no communication from them in the 6 weeks, I went by there Wednesday to verify that the slabs were there and they were ready to set up the measurements and cut/install. Well, they never ordered the slabs. > When I called them today, I was told they would never says that. I know what conversation we had and I know that was the reason we chose to work with them. I am no longer working with them and I am waiting on them to refund my deposit. Spoke to them at 12 noon and still no refund on my CC. > Now I get to start over with another business, but at least I will find one that is true to their word. > Monday 5/9/2016 at 1 pm and still no refund on my CC even after the Owner (Kristi's husband) told us it would be no later than 12 today. I tried to call and talk to Kristi and was told she is not available. > The refund was processed and credited to my account on 5/13/2016 **Comment from Mainland Stoneworks:** > It was was unfortunate there was a misunderstanding how the steps of our work process take place. We had to wait six weeks for their cabinets to be installed before we were able measure. We order slabs after we measure so they all match from the same lot number. Once we saw it was not in our best interest to work with Mrs. Rothermel, we suggested returning her money and parting ways. The refund was processed at 2:00 PM on 5/9/13 on our end. The processing bank may have taken until 5/13 to put their money in their account.
