> We contracted with Rock Solid for a 2-tiered retaining wall with steps and mulch. The design phase went great.
> Install was delayed several weeks, no big deal, summer is busy.
> The job started and the lower wall was 2in higher on one side of the steps than the other. The tore it down, re-aligned, and rebuilt.  Between the 2 retaining walls, there was a flat area between 2 walls for a future patio.  The 2nd wall was started and my husband mentioned twice that the 2nd wall was too high. Jason told us it was fine, he's "been doing this for 20yrs".
> More than half the wall was built, we asked for a manager consult because it did not look right, all work stopped.  The 2nd wall was truly was several inches too high according to the design plan.
> Another wall had to be ripped out and reset. They were frustrated, we were frustrated. The mulch was too thin (Jason said this late in the season, cedar is hard to find). That is certainly not the customer's fault. It was obvious they were rushing through our project as the next client was waiting.
> The end result: it looks pretty, but numerous stones are marred during to resetting several times. Things aren't actually level for the future patio...and it even though Rock Solid tried hard, it was not worth the price for the frustration.
